I'm looking to buy a stand-alone freezer. I thought I'd like an upright, but it seems none have fully adjustable shelves? Do you know of any that do?

I'm also trying to figure out how big it should be. We are a family of four, maybe 30% of our food spends time in the freezer either raw or cooked. I'd like to be able to buy a 1/4 cow every so often. Would 9 cubic feet be big enough? Would 17 be too big?
