I've been checking my cervix for years (so yes I know how to wash my hands prior to) but never during pregnancy so question...
I'm 30 weeks and I know very well that this is no indication of when labor will come, I'm just curious as to how one would describe this. I know all the terms but I've never actually checked myself during pregnancy so how would a midwife/OB describe this...I could easily find it with two fingers just dropping my pants standing up, it's high, but wasn't that hard to find, like when it's high during a normal cycle but not quite out of reach. It's slightly raised off my vaginal wall but soft like my lips. It's closed so I know there's no dialation. So is it anterior? And slightly effaced? What would a short or long cervix feel like? Thanks.
