two month nursing strike?

My 20 month old stopped nursing on her own at 18 1/2 months. She simply would not nurse at all and cried and ran away if I offered. She was getting four teeth at the time. They are all through now, and today she asked to nurse. I let her try, and after a minute of laughing, she figured it out.

Have any of you heard of extended strikes like that from toddlers? My older daughter nursed for just over 24 months (self-weaned), and she never went on any kind of strike.

Is returning to nursing after such a long time not a good idea?

If this is more appropriate for the Child Led Weaning area, let me know! Thanks!

my friend's child went on strike from 9 months to ~14 months (I think) and nursed until after 2 :)

I think it's awesome love.gif

Wow! That's a long strike!

I called my sister and she told me I was being silly worrying about it. I think my hormones are just making me overthink!nut.gif
