What tricks will the leprechauns play at your house tomorrow?
Oh I love the idea of turning the toilet water green, ha!
We are going to have a treasure hunt at a friends place - she's drawing up a map of her yard (very simple that 3 & 4 year old can follow) to collect pieces of the rainbow (wooden stacking Waldorf rainbow blocks..) and at the end making it and finding "treasures.." which are going to be seeds of lavender and pots to paint. We have some little treasures along the way (gold glitter, little sparkly green hats etc)...and we will have brunch with a rainbow salad
The leprechauns don't play any tricks at our house but DD has decided that she will spend time in the yard trying to catch some with her "leprechaun net" (a small, green butterfly net). lol
We will make vegetarian shepherd's pie, cabbage, colcannon and soda bread for dinner and DD and I are going to make shamrock sugar cookies this afternoon. We'll be reading Irish folktales and making Irish flags during school time and, naturally, our whole family is wearing the green.
Same here -- it was so cute watching their excitement when they discovered everything!
Leprechauns don't play any tricks at our house (although DS would love the green toilet water idea -- do you put the dye in the tank or the bowl?).
We're having corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and soda bread for dinner. I'm just about to make the dough for shamrock cookies so that it can chill for a while before DS gets home from school -- this afternoon the kids can help me make them.
I love the toilet water idea! What a fun way to turn something green without dying food, love it!
At our house, the kids made a huge trap out of foam blocks, a marble, and some sticky tack with a gold coin as bait. When we woke up in the morning, the trap was messed up and there was a note that said "Ha ha ha, nice try!" and a plate of shamrock cookies. They were excited
