I'm refraining, but one would sure be nice. I'm afraid to do ANYTHING that could be construed as bad for me. I just wondered what the general consensus was?

I've always continued to drink (1 glass a day or so) during the 2ww and then stop when I get a bfp. I highly doubt that it will cause any issues whatsoever. I would probably refrain from binge drinking (although I have done that by mistake as well), but one glass of wine is probably safe.

I wouldn't binge if you know there's a chance you may be pregnant, but I don't think it would hurt to have a bit.
Wine is sometimes "prescribed" for relaxation by midwives around here, so a glass here and there is safe as far as I know.

I tended to figure during the 2 week wait the embryo hasn't even *implanted* yet so the only effect you can have on it is to either facilitate or discourage implantation. To be fair, I'm not sure if alcohol does either of these things, but I kind of figure if it did, we would have heard about it by now. I wouldn't worry about it--like other posters, I wouldn't binge drink, because it stresses your body out, but I wouldn't think a drink or two is a big deal.
