What's your baby's "thing"? - Page 2

Mine just turned 6 weeks and her "thing" is to try and eat BEFORE she wakes up. Its so funny! She will start turning her head back and forth desperately looking for the nipple and grunting, then she will let out one little wail, then keep rooting back and forth, then another wail, and finally the wails speed up until she is all out crying, and then she FINALLY opens her eyes and calms down before nursing. Sometimes she will accidentally latch onto her own fist before realizing that there is no food coming out.

The other "thing" that her dad started is to blow on her face and instead of getting mad she smiles at him. Of course when I do it she just gets an annoyed look on her face. haha

She has another new "thing". She tries sooo hard to climb over this pillow, grunting and growling, until she is  completely exhausted! She's so strong!

S did this too. Rubbed her hair right off from ear to ear!

E's thing is thrill seeking. Since 4 months or so she's been all about being tossed around, swung up high, pretend dropped, diving face first to get out of a sit, diving under the water in the tub.. and all of it with a laugh and a huge smile! 

She also has a serious love of water! If she's in bed at night (has been asleep for hours) and she hears the tub filling she'll start to fuss until it stops running, because she wants to be in the tub!  Silly baby!

Have to add one from my DD - who is now 7. She hated it when I'd talk to anyone while she was nursing. From about 3 mo on, if I started to talk, she'd unlatch, turn her head over and give the "offender" a dirty look.

... oh and as for my little ham - he just farted and then started to laugh. How does he know farts are funny at only 8 mo? Natural born comedian.

DD will babble for *hours* Non stop, it's hilarious! Her other "thing" is any time a stranger comes up to talk to her she'll burst into tears.  She really doesn't like people who don't live with her.  She cried at DH one day and I asked why she was mad..  He said "she's sick of not mama"  We've got Mama, Not Mama, and Sister :D

DS (8 months) just started trying to copy whistling. We whistle tunes to him and he purses his little lips and blows. He even tried humming while blowing. So cute!
