Books for DS about new baby

Thread Starter

I am almost in my third tri and have held off having any discussions about the new baby directly with DS until he was firmly weaned and used to not being carried around everywhere.  I am sure he knows something is up and now I think we are both ready to start really getting mentally prepared for it.

Any books that you recommend for a 25 month old about the new baby coming?

My DD was 26 months old when we brought home #2, and she really loved "I'm a Big Sister" by Joanna Cole and Maxie Chambliss.  Nothing earth-shattering about it, not really that great a book, but got DD very excited about what it means to be a sister, and all the cool stuff babies do, and all the stuff babies can't do but big girls can.  There's a "big brother" version too, I'm pretty certain.

i gave my nephew What's Inside and And After That by Jeanne Ashbe. The books have really nice pictures, flip pages & a great message that is perfect for a toddler. Plus, one of the books shows the mom nursing the baby, which is always nice to see.
