TMI - but what the hell - I lost my mucous plug yesterday morning. With my daughter, I lost it right as labour started, so I was hopeful that something might happen...but it didn't. Still fat and rather uncomfortable! I went to my chiro for my last prenatal pelvic adjustment, but she said it wasn't necessary - baby and pelvis are perfectly positioned and good to go. I'm trying to communicate this to the baby - COME OUT!!

Feeling OK though. Resting as much as possible, and resisiting the urge to pack more boxes (we are putting our house on the market in a month or so, and will be moving into our new house in a couple of months. Selling a house, renovating a house and having a baby - whose idea was it to do all of this at the same time?!

Miriam, it's interesting you say that, because I haven't gone to prenatal yoga in two weeks because of a busy schedule, and my hips and legs are hurting SO bad. It has been hot as can be for a couple days, too, though. But I think yoga tomorrow will really help...

ETA - oh, WHOA! I missed that there was another page of posts! slylives, "woot!" for passing your mucous plug! I can't believe you have all those things going on at the same time. C'mon, little critter, make this easy on mama!

No Critter yet - I was so convinced that s/he would be early. Wrong! I was hoping that today, being our wedding anniversary, might be the day. Well, I have 2 hours and 11 minutes to go, but pretty sure that's wrong too... I'll let you know when Critter is here. On the plus side, we now have a boy name and a girl name picked out. So Critter is only temporary

Sorry I've been MIA for sooooo long! I admit, I too have had a little time to lurk and loosely follow all the new Grads - but no energy to post lately.

Slylives- I can't believe you are so close already!!!

Tear, I've been wishing for summer on your behalf for MONTHS now! Seems you've had a rough year at school at times. Only what- 2 or 3 weeks now?! COngrats! You deserve a nice loooong rest.

MBA- Congrats on quitting the job!! It must be so nice to be home while pregs. Enjoy the time off while you can actually relax, if you let yourself! I can't imagine cooking twins, it must be exhausting. You have some fellow Grads who can clue you in here! Hope your back and neck issues get resolved soon, sounds like the yoga will elp if you get back into that. I had the best intentions with that. I hear you with the upper back (and lower back) issues from carrying the huge boobs. Ooof. Heavy. My posture is terrible now, esp after nursing for nearly a year!

Nanette- love those boys! What an adorable little family. You are doing so well for them!!! I'm reading your updates on FB. You are amazing. That is all.

Kelly- thanks for checking in!! Your girls are just gorgeous. Lucky mommy and daddy. Hope you and DH are well too, your girls seem to be growing beautifully!

Lis- thanks for sharing pic of Caleb, oooh so cute. You go out in a field with him on your hip? AV would love that. I will look into the ring sling. My back and hips kill by the end of the day from that heavy girl. Sorry to hear you're up so late working some nights, but so nice that you can be home with C.  Is Caleb still nursing too? I forget if I read that. 

Lyndzies- Thanks for sharing your little miss too! she is getting so big! I know what you mean about being over the moon. Motherhood is amazing. The wait was long and hard, but ooooh so worth it. Good for you for sticking with the pumping and nursing. AV HATED formula too when she tried it while i was in the hospital. HATED. I will admit, I wasnt that upset about it. But, as a working mom, is it some added pressure? (it was when i was working... stress.!!) With adding some foods, hopefully that's helping alleviate some of that pressure. You're doing great- she's growing perfectly!!

Maurine- 32 weeks the last time you checked in- where is the time going?! SO close! I need to check that 1st page to see who's getting up there with you. 

Any word from slylives? maybe she went before her due date?

Jane- a boy!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!! Oh Mama- what a long road it's been to get to this little man. xo

Those ladies I missed, I'm sorry. I am half brained most of the time, due to sleep deprivation, and a constant mid- to high-level of stress. Self inflicted, but still- it's my only real excuse.

I was just getting into the swing of things (after the gall bladder thing) when we decided to start casually looking at new houses. Seems even with living "simply" with baby items, we've somehow outgrown our little house. On Mother's Day we went to an open house, and found our new home!!! We put in an offer about 10 days later, and had to get our house ready to sell within 10 days. We got an offer here after 3 days! So, now we're under contract on this house to sell, and on the new one to buy, settling in 6 weeks. I packed up half our house in the first 10 days and sent it to storage so we could be "showing ready" and now I dont mind our house (now that there's so much space with 1/2 our stuff gone!!!) It's bittersweet. So many memories in this house, but the new one will eventually have more, proportionally. When I walked into the main bedroom, I said to DH, "This would be perfect for a homebirth." HA! Really, it would be. but not for some time... !

Seems I'm always looking for SOMETHING to keep me at stress level 10.

AV is incredible; I'm smitten. She is the most hilarious, adorable little person. SO smart, though DH and I are certain she will be quite the handful when she's walking, which could be any week now. She is army crawling- adorable- and seems uninterested in regular crawling, since she's become so efficient. She's pulling up and starting to cruise around if there's something she finds particularly interesting nearby- the remote, house phone, my cell phone, or anything made of paper. HA! Crawling into, under and on top of things quite well and with such glee. Also pretty attached to mommy, but seems OK as long as I'm not within sight. Must be the age, Lis! She will be 11 months next week. I can NOT believe how quickly this time has gone.  Has 6 teeth through, 7th coming in now. Loves to eat anything that's on my plate, but if I put it on hers, she's indifferent. Silly goosey. Still needs purees if I want her to actually get enough to eat, since playing and smushing food between her fingers is more enjoyable than the actual chewing AND swallowing (chewing and spitting it out all over or rubbing in hair- now that's a real good time!). STTN is still not happening, though it has happened a few times, but a fluke I think! wakes 1x at least to nurse, and I dont mind. Like Lyndzies said, it's time that we won't always have. Not that I wont be happy to sleep a full night someday...... but she seems to be getting closer each night to at least a 5-7 hour stretch (PLEASE!?)

The first we call, "the Pose" because she does this VERY often. Loves to lay like this!  The second, just another random one, sorry for the red eye. She looks tired in the second- must have been before nap time! but oh her cheeks. :)

Thanks for the comments on nausea. Last time, I had something similar to what Tear described, but this time it's been worse. Mostly because it started earlier, I think, which wears me down after awhile.

LZP  - Wow, you are so busy!  Can't believe that you found and sold a place so quickly.  It took us 10 months to find ours.  Your daughter is so cute!!

Here is a pic of my belly.  This was about a week and a half ago and I am feeling SO much bigger already!   I want to quit work now!

Sweet.bee, what a cute belly! I can't wait to see it get all big and round! I hear you on the nausea wearing you down. I remember looking at how many weeks were potentially left feeling like that, and it was hard. It DID pass, though I wondered if it would.

Maurine, I hear you on wanting to just stay home. How long do you have to keep working? I've been whining a lot, but I should stop soon because school is over next Friday.

Liz, what...a....CUTIE!!! Thanks for sharing pics. I'm glad that your house sold quickly, though I'm sure it's stressful. I'm glad you're not still working through all this change and added stress! My parents just sold their home, the one Carlyle and I grew up in, and it was SURREAL and painful to walk through it and just have all these memories wash over me. Poor Carlyle didn't really get to say goodbye to it yet. I know what you mean about bittersweet. Your new home will build up its own very special memories, just like my parents' new one will: it's the one our little girl will hopefully build lots of memories in!

We had our u/s today, to check on the little girl and make sure everything is still ok, and she did look wiggly and healthy! She had her little adorable face pushed up against her twin's placenta, which I was amazed to see is actually about 5cmx4cm. That's pretty big, and we'll hopefully be able to identify it at birth. The little darling girl was sooooo cute, and she was playing with her foot and yawning and wiggling all around. We got a good face shot, and her chin was down which made her little cheeks pudge all out adorably. I'm not biased, btw, she was really the cutest baby EVER! I can't believe how strongly I love her, it's just amazing!!! She's just got to stay healthy and strong! I can't wait to meet this little one and see her grow up!

MW appointment today - still dilated to 2cm, 50% effaced. So no change in the last 2 weeks. Had a non-stress test, which went great, but an ultrasound showed fluid levels that were "at the high end of normal". Not quite hydramnios levels, but pretty high. The ultrasound tech frightened me with tales of cord prolapses, but the MW wasn't overly concerned. Although she said that if my water breaks we should head in right away. Apparently the biggest risk is that the baby will float around and change position, and if I had a big gush of water, there is a small risk of the cord prolapsing and falling into the birth canal before the head drops down to plug the gap. Thankfully Critter's head is low, which I think explains the MW's not overly concerned attitude, but still. Not the ideal appointment to have. I am trying to put it out of my mind.  Had my membranes swept again - OUCH! - and will return on Friday to have it done again. And then my mother arrives from England on Saturday, which presents its own set of "issues"..

Interestingly, MW examined me and said that she didn't think that the baby was that big - around 8lbs, she guessed. Ultrasound estimated 11 lb 4oz!! I know ultrasound can be quite inaccurate at this stage, so I am hoping for somewhere in between. Tear, wasn't it your sister who had an 11lber? Tell me it can be done...

slylives, I can only imagine the worry and imagination that would set in while waiting at the last stages. I'm glad your mw is feeling mellow about things. Yes, my niece was 11lb 2oz, and Carlyle delivered her at home with no pain meds. She is my inspiration. You can do this!

I wouldn't trust an isolated ultrasound saying 11 pounds any further than I could throw the technician. And I throw like a girl.

Here I am at 13 weeks (and one day). The dress makes the bump a little more accentuated than it actually is. I mostly just look fat.

I have so much to share, but I just don't have the energy to type it all out lately. Bottom line - baby's looking good still. Can't ask for much more.

Gosh, lava... I can't believe you're at 13 weeks! It seems like barely yesterday we were all hoping and praying the little bean would stick around till your 7-week appointment! You look nice. :) Glad everything is going well, hope you have time for a longer update soon.

I am working up until my due date!  :(  Need those maternity leave weeks.  But at least my job is a mellow desk job.  It's getting to/from work that's a hassle, and getting up in the morning...and getting my pants on.

So neat about your ultrasound!  Was it 3D?  We're not getting one (unless we need it for something), but I am so curious about how this baby is looking, and is positioned!  MW thinks he is head down but I have two very large bumps on either side of my belly.  I am guessing bum and knees/legs.  He's posterior for sure, I think.

Critter is here! Our son Cameron was born on June 15 at 9:39pm. He weighed 9lbs, 15oz. Birth story to follow - includes induction with Foley catheter, pitocin and no pain relief...

CONGRATS SLYLIVES!!! CAN'T WAIT FOR PICS! ENJOY YOUR BABYMOON!!!!

I really took a long vaca from mothering! Things have been crazy in this house, but now that the littlest ones are sleeping pretty consistently from 10-5, I have some "me" time :) I'm glad to see everyone is doing so well! I can't wait to hear about more babies being born in the coming weeks/months.

ANYWAY, just doing a drive-by to check-in and make sure everyone's doing well, and to let you know I'm still alive :) The two little monkeys are doing great- laughing and smiling all the time now. Still EBF, no bottles yet (I know I know, I pump, but we've just never gotten around to introducing the bottle yet), and Tristan is almost 15 pounds, while Cael is almost 14. They're already in size 6 months clothes, and they're only just over 3 months old. I just can't believe it. Seems like just last week their NB stuff was too big. I just had to buy bigger PFs and covers for them ): Ah well. I'm glad I'm able to take them to work with me every day and enjoy them while they're still little :)
