If I have thrush do the kids need to be treated too?

I saw my OB last week on Monday. He prescribed fluconazole for my thrush. He also looked into the kids' mouth but did not see symptoms of thrush. I have been taking the medication since Monday and at first started feeling better but yesterday the burning feeling during and after nursing has been getting stronger and now it hurts so much that I had to shorten my 2year olds' nursing session because I couldn't take the pain! Do the kids need to be treated for it too? Are they giving it back to me?

Thanks,

Alina

Yes yes yes!  Absolutely they do, even if asymptomatic.

I don't know where in the world you are, but this leaflet is often used in the UK to discuss with HCPs.
