I am about 6 weeks pregnant and my first daughter is 13 months old with Down Syndrome.

I'm looking for similar mamas out there who are nursing a down syndrome baby while pregnant and aiming for tandem nursing. For starters my baby is not very good about eating her "solids". About all I can get her to eat consistently is pureed pears and sweet potatoes. I keep offering varieties of flavors and textures but she is only halfheartedly interested. I am worried my milk supply will drop before she is ready to slow down on her nursing.
Â
Add to that an open heart surgery scheduled for her for mid April, and I am truly worried that I will not be making enough milk for her recovery without supplementing. I will also need to be pumping for about 4 days during and after the surgery. Anyone else do exclusive pumping while pregnant? Hubby and I were going to wait until after the surgery for #2 and then we just got ahead of ourselves, plus we got pregnant almost immediately which was definitely NOT expected!
