So i know its normal for them to fight naps at 3 (turns 3 on april 12) but some times im fighting him for over an hour, he keeps comming out of his room, playing, POOPING lol, and all sorts of thing that by the time he finally goes to bed my younger one wakes up and then wakes him up. is there a point to putting him down for naps anymore? my husband thinks that he should still be naping but i think hes ready to lean out of naps what are you opinions? what kind of struggles do you have at nap time?

My older two children stopped napping around 2 years old. My DD napped a little longer but only because she went to a daycare until she was almost 4. But my son stopped napping by  1 1/2 years old and he was home with me all day.

Both my DD's stopped at age 2. DD1 just stopped by herself, DD2 could of napped longer BUT my rule of thumb is when the amount of effort trying to get them asleep, is not worth the minimal amount of sleep they get, then I'm done with them napping.  I would spend 45 minutes trying to get her to nap and she would sleep maybe 30 minutes, not worth it to me. And she would go to sleep much quicker and earlier at night when not taking a nap, Sure, she was grumpy for a bit, but she adjusted quickly.

I don't think I could sleep if I needed to poop? Maybe start getting ready for nap with potty time? My ds simply told me "I don't sleep in the day anymore" one day around that age. Not sure what will happen with my dd...
