my husband just started a new job and the insurance is threw the roof! so we are going to put the boys on nj family care. im looking for a ped in sussex co that participates with nj fam care. we selective  vax and delay them and i like to treat things naturally as much as possible. our first ped flat outv called me stupid for dening a vax . every visit was a fight and i would come out crying. then i found a ped who i absolutely love. he wont even follow the cdc schedule for vax, he will only give 2 in a visit and if you refuse he doesnt make you sign a single thing. i want to keep him but it will be 80 a visit and when all three are sick thats a lot. ( we just had a bad flu that turned into pneumonia and tomorrow will be our 7 visit in 10 days between 3 kids...each visit 80 bucks...i just cant swing that)

if anyone has a ped in sussex co that they like please share with me! most of the ones my friends go to are the same way our first was, i dont want to cry every time i leave a check up. thanks!!

Technically he's in Warren county but we used to see Dr. Chi and he was fine with us not vaxing so I"m sure he'd be fine with a delayed schedule.  Now we see Dr. Rosen but he's in Oradell (a bit far).

I am in the same boat as you and also use Dr Chi. Did you ever find a back up ped that takes NJ family care?

We really like Dr Jacobson at Sparta Pediatrics. They had no issue with us wanting to delay and select vax. DS is only 8 mo so we've only seen them for well visits so far. Not sure about insurance, but it may be worth calling them to see if they take NJ Family Care.

This is an old thread, so I hope you found somebody.
