Anyone know an indoor insect killer safe to use around babies (no fumes, organic)?

We have an ant problem in our house, and my dh uses his own bug killer which is basically rubbing alcohol in a bottle, which he sprays generously and causes dangerous fumes in our house! I've told him how unsafe this is, esp with a newborn in the house. Does anyone know of any safe or organic insect killer sprays that work???

I guess it depends on how big your ant problem is, but we use Terro ant traps inside our house. They are non-toxic for humans (and pets). We initially started using them when it was just me, DH, and our cat because they are non-toxic if ingested. They basically just use borax as the "'poison" (in an amount too small to hurt humans) and some kind of sweet liquid to attract the ants. It's always worked for us!

Also depending on the size of the problem, cinnamon deters ants. When they come in our house, I find the closest point of entry and sprinkle a line of ground cinnamon. For the most part, they don't cross it and retreat! I haven't had to do this with a curious & mobile toddler yet, so I'm not sure it's practical with children.
