Friend will be visiting from Japan, worry about radiation?

My dear friend has been working in Japan for the past year and lives about 150 miles from nuclear plant that has problems..... she will be visiting this weekend.  Would you be concerned for your children being in contact with someone visiting from so close to radiation?

Thank you!

And, just thinking, she will have to travel to other places in the country to get to the airports, etc.....

I would not...but I was not born in America and I survived a Chernobyl cloud and a few more things.

I would find out if they are scanning passengers from Japan for radiation . IF they do and your friend passes there is nothing to worry about.

Plus, really, if you friend was exposed to some serious radiation she would be very ill by the time you see her.

Thank you for your input.  After talking to our doc and doing some more research, we are more comfortable seeing her.  There's just such scary stuff sometimes.  Thank you for sharing that you've gone through and survived some things, I really appreciate it!
