So I've been doing the Oil Cleansing Method now for almost three weeks and I don't think I have it right yet and am hoping for some advice on what to try next.  The first week I tried a 1:3 mix of castor and olive oils and my skin became SO dry and sandpaper-y.  I ditched the castor oil completely and have just been using olive oil since, but my face is still pretty dry and starting to break out more as a result, I think.  Or maybe it's not getting deep-cleansed enough without the castor oil.  My skin tends toward dryness and breaks out pretty easily, so I had pretty high hopes for the OCM.  What should I try next.  Coconut oil?  Apricot kernel?  I'm hoping not to have to get into the high-price-tag oils if possible.

My routine, in case that could use some adjustment, too, has been to rub the oil in for a few minutes (maybe 2 or 3), hot washcloth steam and then wipe (I usually do this twice), and then rinse a little, followed by a couple of drops of oil to moisturize at the end.

TIA!
