Oh the contractions

I'm just about 36 weeks with #3 and I just keep having contractions all the time! I have so many BH contractions a day it's ridiculous.  My uterus must know I'm talking about it because I just got another one.  They're semi-painful and getting to be annoying.  My first was on his due date, and my second was 41 weeks (but with vernix, we think my date was off) so it's not like I have a history of going early.  Maybe this baby is going to come early? I hope so, because I can't imagine spending the next month to month and a half constantly contracting.

I just hit 37 weeks and I've been having the same nasty BH contrax.  I'm just resting a lot and drinking tons of water.  maybe it's a #3 baby thing!

I'm only on #2 and I'm in the same boat.  I'm 36+2 and they're really starting to get uncomfy.

I had some really nasty BH contractions around 36 weeks and on with my second kiddo. They suck. I didn't end up actually giving birth until he was 39 + 4 or something. Haven't had any yet with this one.

Me too. I asked my mom if she had the same thing with her third and she said she did, and when labor did start it was fast. A faster labor would be nice :)

36w4d here and yes. some are not BH and i can feel then shifting things others are just a pain in the belly LOL. with number 4 i had weeks of nasty contractions both BH and nonBH and he was born 13 days late but it was fast and easy when it was time

Oh yes ma'am! Not a two hour labor...but faster yes sign me up!!
I've been having BH for months now...but they are getting more frequent and tighter. And I'm having more ctx...though not as many as I'd like. I have an OB appt Thursday and can't wait for him to check me and see if I'm further along than a fingertip and soft. Being soft excited me last week! Lol I turned term yesterday.....GAME ON!!!!! Ahahahaahah

Funny to hear that they are common with third pregnancies, and that they sometimes result in fast labors.  I keep telling my husband that I feel like my uterus is so prepped I'm going to go into labor and baby will come flying out a half hour later (lets hope not that fast!) but you get the point.

I'm going through the same thing. I wake up in the middle of the night and in the morning with BH, menstrual cramping and lower back pain and it lasts all day. I actually told DH I don't think that I'm going to make it another 4 weeks, but now that the words have come out of my mouth, I'll probably go late.

I'm also pregnant with my third, and also really uncomfortable with contractions. I get them every time I bend over, fer heck's sake. I'm always asking my kids to pick up stuff off the floor for me.

I do not want a two hour labor, but I wouldn't complain about a five hour one...

Funny, with my 3rd pregnancy I got soooo many.  I had an 'irritable uterus', anything would cause them.  My mw suggested drinking 1 or more large cups of strong RRL to 'replace' the work my BH were doing, so I did that and it helped.  I found unless I had the tea first thing in the morning they would come with unbearable frequency.  And by this stage of pregnancy they were/are so strong- they stop you, make you pause, wrap around your back and pull up on your pelvic floor! lol, I feel for you ladies!  For me, they haven't been as bad this pregnancy (4) but I would still guess I get them more then the average woman.  

Well, I do have fast labours! #3 was 3 hours, start to finish.  (the others were 3.4 and 4 hours).   So, it will be interesting to see how it goes!

ii'm going through the same thing.  Tons of them.  Not super painful but lots of them and some are pretty uncomfortable.  Didn't have it with other pregnancies.  I was thinking it might be the labor prep- I am doing the polly jeans and in the past I"ve done 5W but I guess since it seems to be so common maybe its actually a 3rd pregnancy thing. 

I  also cant imagine going 4 more weeks like this- but of course, went to 41 last time and know its fully possible.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.  I'm almost 35 weeks. The last few days have been brutal with the contrax.  Not to mention I pulled a muscle in my lower abdomen over the weekend and it makes them hurt even more.  I don't remember them being this painful with my first.

Yep, when I bend over, get in the car, stand up... They're crampy this time, too. Never had that with my girls. And of course since I've refused cervical checks thus far I have no idea if they're getting anything done or not!

And I totally agree, a five or six hour (just NOT 24 like my last one!!) labor sounds lovely.

I don't know about the 3rd pregnancy theory as I had the same thing as you all with my 2nd pregnancy as stated above. Just sayin. :)
