Its time for a TMI thread....weak stomachs need not read lol. - Page 4

I just have to say I love this thread! It makes me feel SO much better to know that I'm not alone in all these TMI things. I feel so swollen "down there" it's crazy.

You have to understand that I am EXTREMELY self-conscious about my body as it is...I mean, if I could deliver in the dark just to avoid anyone actually seeing my naked form I totally would!

I had my OB turn down the lights when she checked me for dilation lol.

This is me. And something about being in mixed company makes it worse....if it's just doctors, ok. If it's just my husband, ok. But to have my midwives, my husband, and my mother all there, while I'm laying there, well, exposed, bugs me. But I really need all three there, so I guess I have to suck it up.

I do have my husband and mom leave though for the "exams" if they do any.

And i'd prefer my husband keep his head up near mine, and  NOT see me go poo on our baby.lol

I have always wondered that about water births orngbiggrin.gif

My husband has never witnessed childbirth. I made him watch an online video of a  home waterbirth, because he had never seen anything other than what hollywood shows. (Screaming, scrubs, all of it.) He was surprised at how calm it all was.
But then we started talking to our friends who had a home water birth. Her husband said "it was awesome. well, that is, everything up until I had to siphon out the placenta-poopy water with a garden hose..." (by mouth...gag)
DH quickly made sure that we have an electric siphon ready with our pool.

Oh yum!

Speaking of poo -- does anyone else have giant ones only during pregnancy? The plunger has become my best friend. irked.gif

the iron supps definitely make mine poo very solid/strong. poops of steel. more an issue for the scrub brush than the plunger around here. but definitely gross.

I am seriously thinking now of stopping iron supp at full term just in case I have the aforementioned pooping during labor. Those black, sticky, iron-rich ones are nasty. I guess I will see what MWs think about my iron levels... I'm guessing they will check today (36-week appt). I was anemic earlier in pregnancy and have been supplementing for months now.

My poops aren't big. angry.gif No fair. And I'm on iron supplements too.

I thought the iron made it harder to poo.

Yeah, my poops are tiny and juicy and frequent.  It's better than being constipated, though.  I think the cal/mag supplements I was taking helped me get pretty constipated some days.

Although...something I have been wanting to ask but have been kind of...self conscious about...

Anyone else have/had weird black scabby type stuff in the creases/folds of their nipples??

I dont know how else to explain it.

At first I thought I was dirty/not washing good enough but that did not seem to matter, so I started picking and it flakes out from between the skin folds/whatever of my nipples..its like scabs or something although there is no pain or discomfort.

Anybody have any ideas??

Im so embarassed to bring it up with my OB

Normal colostrum: yellow, white, rusty, red, orange, green, and green/rusty = blackish.
Probably normal.

Yep, I get that.  I get white/clear crusties, and little black flake things.

Also sometimes I sit around naked in the evenings and I don't notice my nipples are leaking until I've got colostrum crust on my belly.  Delicious.

I have had to stop myself from picking at them (Im a picker..a bad picker..) because every time I do I end up with colostrum everywhere from the nipple stimulation :(

Yay for boobies.
