I am so fabulously glad to have found this thread. Finally, a sense of HUMOR to our pregnancy woes! I am due on Saturday and having many of the same issues as you ladies... only not so much the constipation. I wish. No, I have had 9 months of explosive diarrhea that has somehow (I didn't think it possible) gotten WORSE as my dd approaches. (Dragonfly, your tub story made me feel SO much better to all the of poop episodes I've had. You rock.) My only consolation is that I am likely to be pretty empty by the time I actually give birth, because I also share the horror of pooping during birth, along with the horror of being naked in front of so many people. And my hubby is advocating for a water birth - poopy water? Mine could NOT be fished out with an aquarium net. It would be like giving birth in a putrid smelly swamp. Poor new baby!! :(
As for the colostrum, I have been leaking for months, and I had been expressing myself to relieve the itching. Turns out - the lactation consultant at my bfing class said you can save the colostrum that you express, frozen in a glass jar (it's ok to use the same jar each time until it's full) to feed the baby after birth. That way, if he/she has low blood sugar or needs supplementation for any reason, they won't have to give him/her formula. So now at least I feel like there's a point to my leakage (laundering nightgowns that no longer fit EVERY day had me irritated, along with the crusty bras - oh, and leaking through both bra AND shirt while on my way to work - teaching middle school children -).
Probably the wrong forum, because it's not gross, but has anyone else had their feet go numb?
