"Measure H.R. 1 would cut $27.3 million, or about 93%, of federal funding for poison control centers across the United States. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives...."
Â
The plan is to go from 57 poison control centers to one, to "save money". It is a very concerning idea, as a natural disaster or terrorist attack could put at risk a call center handling 1,200 calls a day.
