"Measure H.R. 1 would cut $27.3 million, or about 93%, of federal funding for poison control centers across the United States. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives...."

 

The plan is to go from 57 poison control centers to one, to "save money". It is a very concerning idea, as a natural disaster or terrorist attack could put at risk a call center handling 1,200 calls a day.
