I was going through old credit cards, closing accounts down.  I called my American Express card but before I could cancel I remembered about my reward points, went online and found out that I had enough to trade in for $270.00 worth of gift cards for clothing stores!

Awesome!  I cashed out $50 GC for italian food a few weeks ago.  I never use the card, so it was, like, 8 years worth of points or something just to get that!

I seem to be doing nicely with them at the moment, I did have that card for a long time but haven't used it for months, I'd not expected more than $50 in rewards.  I should thank Dave Ramsey - it was his ideas on credit cards that lead me to go through mine and start closing them down!
