Supply dropped after stomach flu...

I came down with a really bad stomach bug and have had diarrhea since Friday. The pain was terrible, but I'm feeling better although I still have diarrhea. I have lost 14 pounds in 5 days! I am tandem nursing my 2 year old and my 5 month old. My supply has dropped! The 5 month old's stools are a little too firm, and I can tell that she has pain and difficulty when pooping. I have been drinking Mother's Milk tea, and water, but I am not eating very much.

 

Any advice on boosting my supply?

Oh Mama, that sounds awful! Try to really hydrate yourself - gatorade or pedialyte and lots of it. That will help. Keep nursing as much as you can, and I would try oatmeal too.

Im there two we had the flu DS was priity dehirayed in the end i gave him a little water not alot though right now Im eating lots try whole grains maybe rice to start and a crap ton of water with a little recharge or you could do emergen C or gateraid even and then more water whatever foods you can plus lots of water and tea  alot of theherbs for nurseing can upset tummys ( moms not baby ) so i wouldnt go there if you dont have to really stuff should bounce back fast with water feel better mamma

So, I'm recovering from my second flu/bug this year, and both times I've had pretty substantial supply dips. The first time, DD actually had to be given a bottle during the day, because I'd been unable to eat or drink for 24 hours and had nothing to give her.

 

It took a while to get my supply back up to what it was before, maybe even a week or two before I felt like I was really back to where I had been before I got sick, but it got there. Rest, fluids, and good food are key.

I just want to say I'm back to normal ish maybe a kite less intense let down but supplies back up and ds just needed the one bottles ofnwater during the worst of it
