Anyone eat a low carb diet or a diabetic diet?

I had a full blood work up the other day, and I am not diabetic, but my doctor thinks I could be eventually.  My insurance does not pay for a nutritionist, so I am looking for book suggestions of low carb or diabetic diets.  Thanks!

I am a prediabetic and have been able to remain so for three years and counting. "The Insulin Resistance Diet" really helped me to understand the eating part of it. Good luck to you!!

There was a thread in traditional foods for people who were Primal/Paleo/Grain-Free/Low-Carb

(all of which would fit the low carb/diabetic diet requirement)
