Exemptions for private school in NYC

Thread Starter

Our child has been accepted at an independent k-12 school in NYC. We need to file a religious exemption for vaccinations (we have done so in the past, but not in NYC), and I'm not sure how to approach the issue. Should I ask up front if they accept religious exemptions? Securing the spot requires putting down quite a large deposit, so I'm afraid that if I don't ask up front, we'll be out a lot of money. On the other hand, I don't really want to draw attention to the issue.

If anyone has any advice, please reply to this thread or PM me.

Thanks!

In your case, I'd contact these people.

I probably don't need to tell you that New York can be a MINEFIELD for families struggling to have and exercise their rights to informed choice in vaccines.

Good luck, and I hope they're helpful!
