DD is at home with me during the day. I work from home (about 30 hours a week) and am in school full-time. So...our lives are a bit scheduled.Â
Â
DS always liked things like Legos and other building supplies, trains, math manipulatives, etc.
Â
DD...doesn't. She needs a lot of talk-time with me. I'm okay with that sometimes, but I really need some things that can pique her interest. She likes magnets, and we have a marker board. I'm thinking of buying her a bunch of magnets that she could make up little scenarios with (one of her favorite activities) to act out on the marker board. She has lots of paper, crayons/markers/colored pencils, and stickers.Â
Today we bought some craft glue, findings, & a stash of hair barrettes. She wants to make her own barrettes and bracelets. I'm hoping she can do some of that work on her own without me doing it with her.
Â
I'm going to pick up a magnifying glass for her because she likes to collect bugs, small flowers, rocks, etc.
Â
I feel like we need something daily to keep her occupied. Next week, we're making recycled crayons. She saw a show about a story board and wants to do that. She's been making books with paper and yarn. I just feel like it's so.much. upkeep, and I'm looking for ideas that are more things she can do on her own.
