Double Post - Sorry!

I know that the chances of an exclusively breastfed baby getting one of these before 6 months is slim. However, I was trying to find info on these in babies under 6 months of age and really haven't found anything. All the information seems directed towards older children. I have a few books and none of them really mention the severity of these diseases in infants. Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child does say to take a baby under 2 months to the doctor in the case of chicken pox.

We are going to be traveling in May. Julia will be 4.5 months old. We will be around her cousins who are in daycare and not vaxxed for any of these due to autism in the family and the feeling that chicken pox is no big deal (which I agree with). Can't avoid them because we will be staying with them. She will still be exclusively breastfed at that point, but I've read that immunity from us starts to wear off around that time. I'm naturally immune to chicken pox, but had the the vaccine for MMR when I was little so that passed on immunity might not be as good for her from what I understand.

I'm just trying to find some sources just in case. I'm not really worried, I just like to be prepared and I'm having trouble finding any info. I'm most interested in the severity of these diseases at such a young age and how likely it is that a LO would catch them if they are exposed.

Did you ever get a response to this? My DD just turned 6 months, and we suspect DS (4yo) has just come down with chicken pox. I am wondering about the danger to her. She is still exclusively breastfed, and I am (naturally) immune.
