What does this mean?

You currently have one (1) other users subscribed to your activity feed.

It means that person is getting notifications of your activity on the forum. Sort of like being a "friend" on Facebook and getting a message whenever you've placed a new post.

As in the people who are following you and those that you are following? I follow a few people but I don't get any notifications...

When you click to follow them you have to select how you receive notifications. The default is set to Site Only so if you leave it like that you will not receive anything by email.
