whats going on with my 11 year old

Hi there this time last year our man ( my husband and my two girls dad) died A my 11 year old has not spoken to many people about the whole process, and i feel she is getting depressed???

Whenever i want to go out or have been invted out anywhere of late she has been crying and complaining. when we are together i ask if she wants to play a game but shes on the computer as much as she can be. im allowing for "the so called preteen stage"and that she might be premenstral, but im really scared i will lose her.. help please

I would have to know more about the situation, but it sounds like your daughter could really benefit from grief counseling. Death is a very hard thing for someone her age to deal with, especially the death of her father. The computer could be beneficial, but it should be something you are monitoring. She is only 11. Are you checking up to see what she is doing on the computer, who she is chatting with, emailing, ect. I personally think that an 11 year old girl who is dealing with the death of her father should probably be closely monitored when it comes to the internet.
