Hi Everyone!  We just moved from NY to Victorville, CA.  I'm looking to make some new friends and it is pretty hard when you are new to an area!  Is there anyone on this message board that lives near me?  I have four children ages 12, 7, 4, and 2.  Thanks :)! -Pam

Hi Pam, We are moving to the area from IL in July with our 3 kids 14, 11, and 10!  What's it like there?  I'm worried about it being really conservative.  I figured that moms on this site would be somewhat like-minded.

I'm in the High Desert! Feel free to pm me :) If you homeschool, the High Desert Homeschool group is a great place to meet like minded moms, I can pm you the details. I used to belong, but since going back to work ft I don't homeschool anymore, but I still have some friends from the group.

 

Shannon, it isn't that bad. I have been living here for almost 3 years and found my niche pretty easily. The HD has a combined population of close to 300k people...so there are all kinds! I have found non-vax friendly docs and the public schools and camps gave no attitude about vax waivers. While I wouldn't call the HD a crunchy hippie mecca, I wouldn't call it conservative, either.

Hi i have just arrived from the UK we have been here now 4 months, i to would like to gain some like minded friends. I don't work so i'm getting a little bored. I have a 12year old and an 18yrs old, but he is going back to the UK in Novemeber (missing the cold and rain)

 

is there much to do in around here i'm based on the outskirts of victorville and adelanto

Hello Ladies I live in Apple Valley, I have been here since 1976,

I owned a family daycare for 20 years, but closed it in 2006, I am now a tutor. so if any of you are in need of tutoring for your children please call on me.
