If you used Clomid (PCOS) for baby #1, did you need it again for baby #2?

I think the title says it all!  Just wondering if those of you with PCOS that needed help from Clomid to conceive baby #1, did you automatically get another prescription for it when you decided to TTC for baby #2?  Just wondering what people's experiences have been.  Also, when I had my 6 week u/s with DD the tech seemed surprised that I had been able to ovulate since he saw so many cysts on my ovaries.  Does PCOS get worse as time goes on?  If my ovaries looked like that in 2008, are my chances of conceiving again (with Clomid or not) even lower now, 3 years later?

I conceived on Chlomid my first pregnancy and lost that baby.  I did not need it for either other pregnancy.

I automatically got a prescription when we decided we were ready for #2. we had a holy crap moment when we found out I was pregnant with #3 however. So we might not have needed it.

I needed it to conceive both times.

the first time it worked on the second cycle, then when my daughter was 18 months I decided I wanted to try for another, she had just weaned and although my cycle was "normal" we didn't conceive for 6 more months.

Thanks for telling about your experiences.  I can't wait to started trying for baby #2!  Unfortunately, I think I'll have to wait until next year for DH to get on board.  Time's a tickin'!
