I'm making a baby, does that count?? (ha ha- I'm FAR from crafty)
Crafty Mamas - What Are You Making? - Page 2
Thanks :). I started knitting a little over a year ago and it's been fun learning :). I wohm so I only get to knit at lunch and after DS is sleeping...I wish I could knit more - it is really relaxing. I do want to sew at least two baby quilts for the newb and one toddler size for my son this summer - that will break up the knitting a bit.
GL crafting everyone!
Finals are here so that means soon I will be on vacation and have crafting time for the baby!!!! I am so excited to get busy. Like Steph, we need to gather everything baby again... all our stuff is gone. Today I started hunting for ideas. I love the site www.makebabystuff.com they have a great simple pants pattern for beginners like me. I am pretty crafty, just don't sew or knit.
I plan on crocheting tons of cute hats though, I love to crochet.
Some other stuff I found I might like to make:
Some baby items I've made in the past that I will probably make again for this baby are;
and for when it's a bit bigger, some wooden blocks:
Question for you sewing mamas: I am a beginner, and I am looking for a message board where I can pick up tips, ask advice, and get ideas for projects. Kind of like knittinghelp.com, or Ravelry, but for sewing instead. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
I am a total novice sewer...but I use tutorials on the net- most even tell you what thread, machine setting etc....alot of pic and videos for the tuts!
I too would love a sight like that....perfect for when you are smack dab in the middle of somthin and stuck!!!
I haven't peeked in this thread for a little bit, afraid that it would put me on the path of sewing and not doing my school work! LOL! But my last final is done (Yay!) so now I can sit back, wait for my grades to get in, and sew/craft! All of my sewing will be by hand until I can borrow my dad's sewing machine (end of June, I think), which is a bummer. I only have a few more weeks where I can work (I work for the school district so I can't work during the summer) so I'll probably try to work as much as possible until school ends and then I'll start sewing more!
Loving all the pictures ladies! You all are so darn crafty!
