The Busy Bee, Blame It On The Supermoon~ONE THREAD March 27-April 2 - Page 3

Gemmine:  I really, really hope I'm being unnecessarily negative (something I do tend to do) but I know some of the ladies in the 30-somethings thread have had positive OPKs after ovulation without being pregnant.  Of course, both Nicole and Val got positive OPKs just before they got their BFPs, so it's possible either way.  I hope you manage to wait another couple of days, that's going to be really hard.  And I hope that when you do, you get a glaring positive, staring you in the face, also laughing at you for dipping the first test in the toilet.  I definitely wouldn't put too much stock in a BFTN (big fat toilet negative).

UMMM... I didn't get a positive HPT until two days after I got my positive OPKs. AHHH!!! KEEP POAS KEEP POAS KEEP POAS!!! Don't do the digital this soon. Get some FRER!!! dslkfjasldfkjasldfjaslkfjaslfkjalsdfj!!!

Hykue: Thank you. I think I have calmed down even though I'm still a bit o_o at my desk. I will try my best to wait until Saturday.

I would also like to add that I got my positive OPK on the Tuesday before my period was due (My period was due on a Sat. ALSO, JUST LIKE YOU.). I got FAINTTT Target brand HPTs and then an even fainter FRER HPT... Then the next day, my FRER was more "realistic" and the digital confirmed.

Dude. I can't wait until Saturday, so I need you to test again. LOL

Nicole, I didn't see your other post before I replied to Hykue, sorry! I am so torn!!! I keep trying to justify it like, well if it's a BFP, I should know ASAP so I can tell DH to take over our cat's litter box duties....that's a really weak justification right? I was all set to be calm and zen and listen to my friend and Hykue about waiting to test until Saturday and now you (and the other ladies who replied here) have me excited again! I'll just leave it up to my car when I get off work....wherever my car wants to go after work (home or the store), I have to obey. Sheepish.gif

No litter box duty was one of the things I was most excited about. The first trimester sucks, BTW. It's so boring and nerve wracking and emotional and... BLAH. I know I'm pregnant, but I still have my doubts, and... Whatever. Tangent over. Litter box duty is one of the few perks I've had so far!

I seriously got "invisible, only POAS addicts would see" lines for the first few tests after my BLARING positive OPK. Then they got darker, then I splurged on an expensive FRER... Then when THAT was +, I did the digital. And I did the digital the right way. Not the dip in a toilet way. LOL

Though I must share with you, I was doing some "experimenting" a few days ago... Since my tests are "boring" me now, BLARING positive before the control line even shows, I decided to play with it a little bit. I peed in the toilet, dipped my test in there, then waited... It was like, a 9DPO positive test. An invisible, only POAS addicts would see +++. So DO NOT judge that. Especially because it was a digital and you're still so early!!!

WOMAN. I'm so excited for you. I hope your car catches the vibes I'm sending it right now telling it to go to the store!!!

Nicole: Are the FRER preg tests more sensitive than the Digitals? I thought Digitals were the Rolls Royce of tests all this time but if you say FRER, I'll go with FRER!

LadyScientist: You have a pooooiiinnntt. Wednesday would be 2-3 days before my missed period (I'm saying that in the commercial voice) so that's good enough for a sensitive test maybe?

lurk.gif Thank you Gemmine for being so entertaining! LOL to the toilet test and your car making the final decision ROTFLMAO.gif My fingers, toes, arms, legs, and anything else that can cross is crossed for you!

Also thanks for the advice on my chart. Now I'm wondering if I did actually O. Still skeptical as I don't trust my digital thermometer much. And darn DH woke me up this morning early for BD. I was like hmm pass up the BD for a better temp? Nahh...wink1.gif So my temp this morning went back above the dotted line, consistent with O, but it's not reliable cause it was 1 hour early. And I start work early tomorrow so that one is going to be out too. ARGH. All I wanted this cycle was a pretty chart!

I got a dotted line once for creamy CM, when I deleted the CM, the line became solid. If you did O, at least you got in some good BDs! If not, then maybe your OPKs will get there in time?

LadyScientist No, not yet...I don't meet with the Dr until May 17th. Basically, the Dr I am going to is an OB/GYN that also works in the local fertility/IVF clinic. I am seeing her at her private practice, but they offered me a free consultation at the clinic beforehand to go over all of my test results, cycles etc with a nurse. Then they'll pass on the info to my Dr for our appt in May.

The way I see it... You'll get the faintest of faint lines if you've only got a small amount of HCG rollin' through your body... But that tiny, tiny amount that MAY give you a BARELY, only POAS addicts can see line... Where the digital wouldn't pick up on that. But, if I remember correctly, from peeonastick.com... Digitals are like, 50-100, FRERs are like, 25.

Hello ladies.
I guess I am going to hop on this thread. I have been stalking it for weeks and am ready to commit, LOL!
I have smiled over these posts all day. This is such a warm group!

We have 4 children and hubby is ready to try for another babe. I didn't feel ready until very recently, which is crazy because I have ALWAYS been ready for another babe! Our youngest is our first son and still nursing frequently and I think he has me pretty much wrapped around his finger. I am not interested in weaning completely, but we'll just see how things go for this cycle. We did the not trying/not preventing thing in March and missed the egg.

I just started temping 3 days ago and am excited about having a chart!

Please add me to waiting to O.

Let the fun begin!

I really hope we see some BFPs SOON for those in the 2WW!!! joy.gif

Gemmine, I think you are pregnant... innocent.gif

A pack of 2 individual tests, not a 2-pack! I'd have used a pack tonight if that was the case!

Fine. I'll wait. What time will you test? LOL!!! ROTFLMAO.gif
