My son (1 on April 4th) has been having mild issues since birth and I'm just wondering if they could all be connected and pin-pointed to something. Here's a list of my concerns:
(sorry for all of the poop descriptions in advance!)
-When he was a newborn he had the strangest poops. My midwife had said she had never seen anything like it.... the color was bright yellow and they were stringy. Kind of like cooked pumpkin? Never the mustard seed poops.
-He's constantly sick. I do work as a nanny so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I can't help but feel that his immune system should be better by now. He is breast-fed, didn't have solids until about 7 months old, they're still not even 1/4 of his diet, and he is not vaccinated.
-He just got out of the hospital about 3 weeks ago, he had RSV and pneumonia. Yesterday, he started coughing and sneezing again. Today he has watery eyes, a runny nose and a bad wheeze, the same wheeze that landed him in the hospital because he wasn't getting enough oxygen. Could he have RSV again already?
-He has super sensitive skin. He gets diaper rash frequently.
-Most of his dirty diapers smell pretty, acidic, for lack of better terms. Almost every diaper he has is dirty, but they have yet to even reach "peanut butter" consistency. Either the food he ate passes completely through or the diaper just has a large, flat stain on it, but there's usually really not any substance.
Now, on the other hand, he was born at 7 lb 8 oz, and was up to 20 lb by about 4 months. The kid is huge. He gained weight so fast and has always been a little chub. He loves to nurse and does it well. I just keep hearing people mention "allergies" and "asthma" etc. and really don't know what to make of it or how to help him.
Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
