Because of oral allergy syndrome there are a lot of fruits I can't eat raw. With a few fruits, my reaction is strong enough that I now carry an Epi-Pen in case I accidentally get a bite or two of a serious offender. The fruits I CAN eat raw are berries, melons, citrus and grapes. As far as I know, everything else is out, unless cooked in some way.
So my request is ideas for cooking fruits, but not so much in breads/muffins, cakes and such--unless you have a fantabulous recipe you just have to share.
I made a chunky applesauce thing recently and also did sauteed apples to put over pancakes last week (saute in butter, add a bit of brown sugar when they're cooked enough). I want to try other fruits like pears, nectarines, plums and more, but what can I do with them? I don't mind using some sugar.
