Migraine and soy

So, the last two menstrual cycles have delivered migraines. They're pretty bad, though not totally debilitating. I did stay home from work today, and I'm online research nutritional support for them. Everything I read mentions using soy, but I'm not a fan of soy for a lot of reasons (hypothyroidism being the biggest). Does anyone out there have experience with nutritional support for hormonal migraines along a more traditional food vein?

Thanks!

For me, I was getting menstrual migraines, and went off a bunch of foods, including soy (others were gluten and dairy) and my menstrual migraines went away...

Hmmm. I'm been really trying to severely limit my gluten, but I fall off the wagon (often assisted by PMS, oh the irony...). Perhaps I need to take that more seriously. I'm already off soy. Dairy will be tough--I love butter so much, but I think I'll give it a try. Thanks for that!

Have you tried taking cod liver oil daily? It's one of the many reasons I take it.

Also, magnesium?

Just a few thoughts.
