Montessori Floor Beds - Page 2

One thing I liked about the room is having things at the child's level. I know this sounds so basic, but it makes so much sense to hang pictures at the child's eye level as opposed to my own--but I might not have thought of it myself.

I agree! Both with the mobile switching (I'm so not an arty person, If I find something I like that's good enough!

And the low art. It makes it look so cute though! :)

That is adorable, but it would never last with my kids! lol. It would be torn up in one day, and all my hard work gone.

One thing I'm wondering too - where is ther changing table/station?  I know she's doing EC, but I do EC part time and still have a changing table.  I've seen some Waldorf blogs where they have a changing station on the floor, but that would just kill my back.  I'd need to have one at my level, maybe bolted to the wall in case they decided to climb it?

It's in another room. She has it set up on a dresser :) Nicely organized, too. Changing pad, burlap bags with wash clothes and such.

She uses the cutest diapering system! Because she ECs, it has to be quick on and off, so she uses a little belt to hold on the diaper and usually no cover. Makes him look like a little sumo wrestler :D

So cute! I want this house. We are going for a low futon on the floor for our second child. We had a crib for our first, and he absolutely detested it. We switched him to a bed pretty early on. I love the art at the child's level. Wish I lived there!
