Sore breasts around 5- 6 dpo....if you were a betting gal...???

I have been lurking for awhile. I feel like the best way to get opinions and ease my fears is to finally post!

My breasts are really sore, and swollen (big!). I normally have a 25-27 day cycle, and not sure when I ovulate. I'm guessing around day 12, but who knows. It isn't unusual for my breasts to get like this about 5 days before my period. However, this month they started up about 10 days before my period! Here's the thing.....hubby and I had unprotected sex on day 8 of my cycle, which we never do, because we aren't TTC yet.

So if you were a betting woman, what do you think? Could I be pregnant? I am obsessing! I almost can't function, I'm thinking about this so much. I really need a real person's opinion, not just googling. Has anyone else gotten the sore/large breasts that early, and it turned out to just be AF?

Since my cycle is often short, I think it's possible I ovulate on day 11 or 12. So technically, sex on day 8 could result in a baby, right? Or would 3-4 days between DTD and O be kind of a longshot?

I am on Calendar day 20 right now. I tested on a First Response, but it was neg. I figure I shouldn't use the next test until CD 25, since it's my last test.

The sore breasts could just be AF coming.....but on day 18, sore boobs?!?!? (they started CD 17 or 18). That's unusual for me. So basically, it's sex on CD8, sore boobs CD 17. And a little more tired.

The other thing that's leading me to wonder, is that I did have one miscarriage awhile ago, and I remember I had the sore breasts for quite awhile before AF was due. And strangely, I didn't take a First Response test until CD 30, and even then, it was only a faint pos.

But I honestly am thinking I am just blowing things out of proportion, and I need to calm down. :( I will be sad if I'm not pregnant, because I feel like we are ready emotionally, just not financially, and I'm worried it'll be awhile before we actually TTC. After the stress of this 2 week wait, I think from now on, we'll stick to the condoms while we aren't TTC, because I can't take it! Hoping to hear you all's opinions.

It is definitely possible that you are pregnant.  Sperm can live up to 5 days in fertile CM.  I've never had sore boobs, in either early PG or as PMS so I can't comment specifically on that.  I know it's hard not to obsess (I'm am SOOOO obsessing, myself, right now), but the only way to know is to take a test.  If I were you, and only had one test left I would use it on CD 30.....or I'd buy more tests   lol
