Thanks so much everyone!! My birth story in a nutshell: I realized I was in true labor (after having BH for weeks) about 11am on that Saturday at 40w 5d. I wanted to wait to call the midwife until I was super sure because I'd called her out a couple weeks before for a painful, looong period of ctx that ended up fizzling. I sort of paced until they were insane and then I was in laborland fully. DH called the mw at 12 and I was in transition. I sat on the toilet squeezing DH's middle with each ctx. They were so, so intense. I felt like my pelvis was going to crack in half, truly. My water broke on the potty and I sort of yelped and she DROPPED way into my pelvis. DH started throwing towels on the floor from the cabinet and I dove down to my hands and knees and somewhere in there he put my phone with the mw on speakerphone in front of me. Louisa came in about 10 minutes, I think. DH and the mw were so wonderful. I was terrified to be honest and kept demanding to know if she's okay and was super vocal. She was my most intensely painful (and fastest!) birth, for sure. She came out beautifully into her Daddy's arms at 12:55pm (luckily the mw thought to look at the clock in her car!) and I spun around and crazy joy took over. All three of us were crying. We did it. Together. Our mw arrived about 5 minutes later and I handed Louisa to DH and squatted out her placenta, then she hobbled me to bed and went back to the bathroom to cut the cord with DH after it quit pulsing. The rest of the day is a beautiful blur, it was wonderful and makes me so emotional to think about! My other three littles were here through everything and got to be apart of everything. I had (have?) a small tear that didn't require a stitch, thankfully. She was perfect but that a little bruising from her pelvis drop. Her head didn't have time to mold much. I'm so grateful for how her Birthday went. So grateful for her!
