my first waldorf doll!

i recently made my first waldorf doll and  i just wanted to share.

i bought my supplies from weir dolls and crafts: http://www.weirdollsandcrafts.com/ .  I purchased the joy's waldorf dolls 16 inch button button baby pattern and almost all the supplies on the supply list they provide on the weir website.  i did a crochet cap with rooted hair.  i'm very happy with how it turned out.  the only negative is that the button limbs and body shape mean that  the doll doesn't fit in standard (aka bamboletta) sized clothes.

I'm not sure.  I was sick, exhausted, 9 mo preg and chasing after a 2 yr old all day. 

my best recollection would be:

I spent maybe an hour cutting out the pieces and sewing

an hour stuffing

2 hours researching faces
30 min to sew the face once i had committed to a design

1 hour researching the best way to attach limbs

1 hour sewing on limbs

a zillion hours learning how to crochet

2 hours crocheting the cap

2 hours attaching hair

20 min to sew the shirt

2 hours to knit the pants

15 min to sew the diaper

20 mi to sew shoes.
