"Detoxing" with a raw diet while b/fing

I am planning to start a raw diet pretty cold turkey, because gradual transitions don't work very well with me, I give myself too much wiggle room... anyways, I have heard there is usually a detox process at the beginning, and I am worrying that the toxins will go through my milk... Any experience or articles or something about this? LO is almost 18 months and still nursing a lot during the day, but I can feed him more soy milk if there is a chance my milk will be unsafe

I was well past nursing when I went raw, but here's my opinion for what it's worth.

Personally I wouldn't worry about it unless I was going from a diet of highly processed foods, lots of fast foods, etc.  If you already eat a relatively healthy diet and don't add a ton of junk (like artificial sweeteners, etc.) to your system on a regular basis I think your milk will be just fine.  Just be sure to drink plenty of water, healthy juices, etc. to help flush stuff from your system and it wouldn't hurt to add some DE (diatomaceous earth) to a daily smoothie/juice to help clean out your system as well so most of the toxins go down the drain, not through your skin and milk.
