Yeast/Fungal Rash That Won't Clear

After each of my two babies was born, I developed a yeast rash on the inside of my thighs -- hours spent cross legged nursing, extra carbs in any form to maintain weight while breastfeeding and cure my ravenous hunger, plus hormonal adjustments.  With DS and DD, I was able to clear that up.  BUT, I developed a spot on my leg the size of a quarter that has grown to a red, irritated mess.  My holistically minded MD told me to use lavendar, coconut oil, and tea tree oil -- all of which I did for weeks but it grew and grew. I then tried Diflucan.   Then I used GSE topically for a few weeks. So after a couple of months or so, I saw her again and she suggested prescription ketosone (or something like that).  I'm using it daily but the thing is still not going away AND I have a small satellite patch on my arm.

I have all but cut out refine carbs, sugar, etc. and am eating as clean as possible.  Just got some raw milk this week too which has been yummy and fine in my system.  I am taking lots of probiotics too.

What else can I try?  It's red, itchy, and just plain gross.

Thanks!

Good question -- doctor said fungal.  How do I know?  This thing itches and grows.

if it grew while you were applying anti-fungals it does suggest that it may not be fungal in nature.  When you were using eo's, CO and GSE how often were you applying them?  For fungal situations I tend to treat internally and externally (for comfort) and though I don't jump right to eo's, usually coconut oil, calendula, zinc, vitamin D biotin and some flowers for yeast blended together will take care of anything.  At the very least it won't grow or itch even if it takes a while to resolve.  Continuing to grow makes me think there's something else at work here.

You can certainly do clay poultices on it (which should help a lot even if it's not fungal.)  I'd do them at least once a day for a solid week.  You should see some improvement by the end.  Some people like to use colloidal silver in with it as well to boost it's power.  You can try calc sulph cell salt too.

If it is exzema then the coconut oil would help that too.  My daughter had a nasty yeast rash for a long time, it was exhausting.  I tried everything....Finally talked to a naturopath and he told me to basically bomb her system with probiotics(acodophilis sp?)......Make sure you buy it cold, it is best that way.  She took like a month supply in a week...it cleared up and hasnt been back since but she eats tons of yogurt now.  When I had it on my breasts I was doing dilluted viegar  and swabbing them on my breasts constantly.  Not fun at all.

not necessarily-it depends on the cause.

Thanks for your replies and suggestions.

I was applying the GSE and extras 2-3x a day.  What flowers are good for yeast?  I had also used California Baby's Calendula cream (the kind in a little tub) as it did wonders on eczema my DD had that was caused by detergrent.

Also tried Silica cell salt (says for skin eruptions on the label) but I may be stretching here!

I'm breastfeeding and didn't want to do pau d'arco tea (which I had good luck with in the past).

What about GSE internally?  Diflucan didn't seem to do anything.  And I only took it because of no success with all of the other "natural" options I'd tried.

Betonite clay for the poultice, right?  That resonates with me!

if it is yeast, the dose of diflucan that you need is pretty high (when i took it it was a 400mg loading dose and then 200mg a day for 14 days).
