My DD, 28 months, was great at peeing in the potty about 6 months ago. Right before she turned two we did the diaper free thing to try and fully potty train - but a few things happened and we ended up moving and had to stay with family for a while so we went from cloth diapers and almost potty trained to disposable diapers. Fast forward 6 months and we've been trying off and on again...but my daughter is not interested. Not only is she not interested, but she is actively against the potty now, especially for poop. She refuses to poop in the potty, will ask for a diaper or hold it in for hours, and will sneak away to poop then try to hide the fact that she has pooped. She hates to get her diaper changed and insists it is dry even when it obviously isn't. We've backed off and let it go for a while. We've tried the 3-day method of keeping her naked (which was a disaster of no poop for 2.5 days then a huge blow out on day 3). I don't know what else to do.

She knows exactly when she is going to pee or poop and can control going to some extent. She can get her pants/diaper off and pants back on (with a bit of help). She was mostly trained before we had some big changes, so I can understand a bit of regression, but things have been settled now for a while. It is extra frustrating to me because it feels like she clearly knows we want her to use the potty but she is choosing not to and I can't figure out why.

Any advice on what to do? I have tried just backing off...but the hiding poop thing is really bothering me and her Bum Genius diapers are starting to get tight. She has Antzy Pants trainers....but they leak more than diapers so we've been using them sparingly. I don't want to put her in disposables (I think using them for the month that we did contributed greatly to the spot we're at now), but I can't afford to buy bigger cloth diapers at this point.

Please help!!
