redveg, I didn't know you sold eggs!  Hope your ds's surgery goes well.  I was also crazy busy/productive last week -felt like I was on a serious caffeine buzz the whole time.  Slowed down this past weekend, though.

Me too.  The thaw here is nasty, muddy, just plain dirty but I have had such a difficult winter this year I will take mud over snow:)  I sell my eggs for $2.00 a dozen, it gives me enough to cover the cost of my feed and we have plenty of fresh eggs for us.  I am going to try to hatch some of the eggs this year.  My DS did great, having all your wisdom teeth pulled is a tough one but he is most likely on his last day home.  Today the swelling is at it's worst so it's all up hill from here:)

I am almost done.  Hoping to get it finished before the 17th:)  I meditate in the morning and in the evening, but I tell you i have been struggling.  It has got to be all the changes going on around here.

I am always in my garden on Beltane, planting:)

Morning all:)

Things here have been wild.  I have one teen who is struggling with where they fit in, with the family.  This has been an ongoing issue but sometimes it gets way out of hand.  It's difficult, the emotions with this child are over the top and the ways they express themselves are loud, angry, rude & disrespectful towards me mostly, but anyone who attempts to offer advice gets blasted.  It makes it hard to have a conversation and work things out, or help them work things out and see the issue from different points.  Today there is no talking from this child so I am just going to wait and let them come to me when they are ready.

The rain has stopped so we should have a few days of good weather here.  I plan on getting outside and tending to my garden space.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Okay, so when is Mercury Retrograde over again? I have a paranoid boss today, and yesterday was just a disaster.

I had one student, who is failing, not show because he didn't get my email in time to meet with me. I had another student just sit in the lobby instead of coming to class.

I come home to have to yell at my DH, who didn't clean what I had asked him to (we have people coming for Marathon Monday, as we are close to the route), even though he has many childfree hours during the day and I do not.

And then my daughter apparently was hitting kids at daycare, and even slapped the teacher. She was not the only one; another kid, who coincidentally was wearing a superhero shirt, as was my DD, and they were acting like superheroes (which means hitting?!?) She has never been in a time-out at school (and we don't do that at home), but she was yesterday. Then she wouldn't eat the dinner I carefully crafted to be so cute and tasty at the same time (I cut out chicken with a star cookie- cutter). Ugh. Just ugh.

Thanks. I saw something about an EO and cedar...I've got to find id again. For now I'm putting the buggers outside if I see them & vacuuming as usual.

I'm so sorry. I hope that they've figured it out and I'm glad the meds are helping. I know it's hard to TAKE time for yourself, but try and rest a bit. Growing babies takes so much energy!

My nurse thinks I lost closer to 4 cups. So, needless to say I'm a bit more tired than usual from anemia. I also can't seem to get hydrated yet no matter how much water I drink.  My nose still hurts, but no so much that I need any more than ibuprofen and ice to function. On the plus side, I can breathe through my nose, so - Yeah!

Hooray for being able to breathe! I hope you're feeling better now & that your blood supply is built back up.

I like to make flower garlands sometimes & hang them on trees. You could even study together about how plants grow and pollinating and the like.

Good luck finding foods that are compatible with everyone!

I'm sorry. My youngest sister is going through a similar phase & it's really hard on my mom. I wish I had some helpful advice...

I don't like to say it, but according to this guy the effects of the retrograde will last awhile after Mercury goes direct. Mercury will be direct on April 23, but he says that once it hits the point it was at from the beginning of the retrograde, then things will settle down. That would be May 11. I don't know if I said that very well so I'll put the link.

Well, today my friend took DS and I managed to make some progress on some of my crafts. I'm making 18 lady bug bean bags for party favors. Now I just have to stuff them & close the hole & glue on felt spots. I also made most of a tutu. Tomorrow I'd like to finish it and start a lady bug pillow for DD. I might have to wait though. The diapers need to be washed, the kitchen needs attention & of course the kids always want to mess with what I'm doing. We'll see.

Be well! blowkiss.gif

Popping in to say that I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Next week is school vacation for Roo but we have a pretty packed first half of the week.  I want to relax, darn it!

Busy busy week here.  Hope everyone is doing better.

I'm more aware of the energy in my house.  Curious sensation.  Our kitten was out past his "curfew", and I normally have a hard time sleeping when I know he's out.  Last night, after I let him in, I was lying in bed trying to fall back asleep and felt the house energy re-settle, and was then able to go back to sleep.

I read "The Field" by Lynne McTaggart.  Very good reading, appeals to the science brain.

At my clinical session on Wednesday, we watched a DVD on Tibetan medicine: The Knowledge of Healing.  Also worth seeing if your local library has it.  Interesting and full of contrasts and stereotypes (especially some scientists).

I'm now reading Matthew Wood's "The Practice of Traditional Western Herbalism".  My favorite statement (so far): "...medicine, to be holistic and curative, must include mythic elements to satisfy the soul and spirit."

Had a very bizarre visit with a holistic vet - wrote about it in the homeopathy/flower essence thread if anyone is curious (anyone up for a homeopathy/flower essence thread?)

Time to get some work done!

Morning Lovelies -  Its been busy over here too.  So much to do, and work and its starting to be overwhelming and not enjoyable in the least. This past week I finally have noticed that I have been overly exhausted, really craving sugar and apparently I'm rather funky too - (sorry TMI).  I think I've pinpointed the reason - yeast overgrowth, but I am still researching...  So I'm reading through what I can do to start reducing the overgrowth and begin to start the steps of that process.  I know DH has the same thing so I'm the test case to see what works with trying to minimize the die-off symptoms.

Clay - I hope you are getting a break and that the T-man is feeling much better!

Is it already time for Beltane?   dizzy.gif I have not given it a lick of a thought as to what we will do to celebrate it. Maybe a fun in the garden and outside kind of day and perhaps some small MayDay baskets to deliver to our friends & their kiddos like we did last year.

Oh well - back to work, back to work, back to work... Have a beautiful day everyone!!

i have bacterial overgrowth. i had bad sugar cravings, fatigue, and i smelled funky (pits and what not). the less sugar and carbs i eat the better i feel. i find that coconut oil helps with the funky-ness too. i just slather it on after bathing.

i feel like i am falling apart sometimes. i burned myself with some hot water and now have my hand all bandaged up. it was healing just fine until DD1 kicked it and tore the blister off. oweee. then i couldnt sleep last night bc my tooth hurts. it had been feeling like it had a cavity for awhile. it would go away and come back. but now it hurts pretty bad. i think i want to go to the dentist for an xray. i hope it isnt abcessed. i had just started reading the healing tooth decay book. they talk about raw egg smoothies. but he says to be careful bc you will detox.... how do you all feel about raw eggs?

hello, lovelies~

sitting in my warm and sunshiny garden, musing about FEs, watching the finches flutter about.... enjoying my first me-time in too long <ahhh>. alas, dh's diss wont be "done" til after beltaine, so my self-imposed exile will continue til then (probably mid-may)....but i thought i'd pop in and say hi and hope all are well and made splendid maps! i did mine ala "tarot cards".... categories per card (ex. "the scales" for my weight loss goal) with watercolors by me! so so much fun, my most fun map ever, i think!

i'm enjoying the forced simplicity of staying mainly within my own little world and focusing on my boys.... but i imagine i'll be itching for CAMP in a couple months................................ <<hint, hint, hint.....>>

This is a great idea!  I have lots of trees in my front yard with low-hanging branches to decorate.  Also going to plant some sage in a little pot for my kitchen window.  I figure if I want to really cleanse my house, it would be great to grow the sage myself with lots of love and good vibes!  Couldnt hurt, right? treehugger.gif

I've been feeling a definite shift in the energy in our house, too...feel like we are ever so slowly getting more positive around here!  Progress is being made with hubby, DS is happy, and our big plans for the weekend are to haul away a TON of junk and goodwill items (no really, this requires a trailer, we have so much to go).  Cant wait to clear it all out!

Hello everyone love.gif

How is your springtime going? I planted some daffodils and tulips recently, and have some orange California poppies to plant this weekend too. We have four blooming birds of paradise now!

I see some of you are dealing with candida (many of us are or have in the past)...I posted on it in health and healing yesterday: http://www.mothering.com/community/forum/thread/1307740/candida-hungry-and-overwhelmed-please-help Much success in your healing and dealing journies!

Going out to weed some more now...have a good day!

Hi everyone.  Thanks for all the sweet wishes for my DD's birthday this last Monday.  We've been having a great time...we do birthday weeks around here. winky.gif  So, this is the crystal she picked out.  It's a white (though looks pink) Heulandite.  She loves it.  She looked and looked and then *knew* when she found the right one. love.gif  I'm hoping to get a little more time to check in tomorrow with all of you lovelies.  DP and I are going to try to have a little date now.

Love, hugs and light. *Peace

LM - I'm definitely cutting back on the sugar and epically failed yesterday at dinner time (had a burger -no bun, but then slathered in BBQ sauce, and even cracked open a coke & took a few swigs).  It was the worse craving I've ever encountered in my life. Off to read up more on bacterial overgrowth and seeing what the tx options are (i.e. diet vs. a course of abx :( ).  Right now my plan is to cut down on the sugar/carb intake to less than 75g/day (50 would be ideal) and add several glasses of gse/water into my diet along with more CO.  I've been slacking on my CO intake and I need to

get back on that horse.   Did you use any clay in your diet to offset any toxins or die-off?

Re: raw eggs - not a fan.

Lovemy3 - I'm off next to check out that thread smile.gif

FR - that is a beautiful crystal

Well I'm off to start my cold and wet saturday... what to do ...what to do... perhaps I'll try to finish ordering pictures & hanging them up in frames!  Off to grab coffee and start a bit of breakfast.

FR: What a gorgeous crystal! I've never heard of Heulandite before. A friend of mine mines quartz in Arkansas on occasion. She's going again soon, and I think I'm going to put in for one.

LM: I don't have a problem with raw eggs as long as they come from happy chickens. I'd be afraid of supermarket eggs as they have already sat about a month before you see them in the stores. I have always eaten raw eggs in batter, cookie dough, etc, which I know isn't the best way, obviously, with all the sugar, but I have never ever had a problem. I also eat raw hamburg, too, though. Sorry if that grosses anyone out.

Manjari! Ack!!! I can't take that much more of Mercury Retrograde. We do seem to be doing better on the home front though. We'll see how work goes Tuesday.

Last night was the full moon ritual, which was based on humor and laughter. We had such a good time being silly; it was a perfect ritual for my DD. Next full moon is mine, and I'm thinking a hearth and home ritual dedicated to Hestia. For this, I am hoping it'll be outside so I can use the outdoor fireplace.

Bluets, read your post about your vet visit. So cool. I have , allegedly, a holistic vet near me. I've been meaning to take my cat in for a checkup, but just haven't yet. I want to know more first. And what of an MA herb conference in June?? MA as in Massachusetts?

It sounds like you are handling it exactly the right way. I hate when ds gets like that-- and he's only 10. And I'm the only other family member eyesroll.gif

Raw eggs grossedout.gif  Um, no. I mean, if it helps and you can stomach them, but I can hardly even look at them, let alone eat them lol.gif

I have been having "accident" issues lately, too. First, I fell hard on my hand back on March 1st and it still is healing, I burnt two fingers on a cup in the microwave that the contents didn't heat up but the cup did, I scraped a finger on the knuckle so it keeps opening again, on and on and on. All hand issues. I hope your tooth turns out to be nothing-- but when that happened to me, I needed a root canal. The canal was SUCH a relief to get that pain gone, I have to say, though.

How's your family's diet going?

Liza, how are you today? And Clay?

FR, your dd's crystal is just beautiful! It looks huge. Is it hand-sized? Or is it lots smaller than it looks in the photo?

Back from Mom's. I think she really, really has issues. I have known it for quite some time, but I really came back this time with a feeling of "she really does not like ds and me, and it's time to face it". But I don't know what to do, if anything greensad.gif

17 days till ds's class trip to the beach. 18 days till I go see M again luxlove.gif and THIS time, instead of freaking and being a worry-wart, he's all "I can't WAIT to see you, when are you coming???" joy.gif

Hey Ladies!

That crystal really has a great energy to it!

Detox- the coconut oil really helped me, we are out, and i haven't been cooking with it for a few days- I have really noticed a difference. Not to mention, some dairy snuck in.

Aweyn- finches- I am envious, we just can't keep finches around our house
