Monday Check-In

Name: Mary

Date: 4/11

Chart: on my phone with OvuView

Where are you in your cycle: 11 dpo

Appointments: none

Symptoms if they apply: tender breasts since ovulation, feelings in uterus since ovulation, maybe the tiniest bit nauseous.

Testing: I'm planning on testing tomorrow

Thoughts: Well, I'm not quite sure what to think. I have a short lp and has been 10-11 days for the last 6 months, and today is day 11 and I don't really feel like af is coming. I have a feeling of fullness in my uterus area but not like af. My temp usually drops the day before af and they had been kind of going lower but popped back up this morning. I have been feeling like I'm probably not prego, but like af's not coming either. I guess we'll see in the next few days. I really hope I am!!! Also, I found out that I'm going to Cancun in May and wondering if anyone knows about any precautions to take while prego in Mexico. I am staying at an all-inclusive 5 star resort if that helps.

Name: SilaMarila

Date: 4/11

Chart: On paper. Sorry no one can see it...

Where are you in your cycle: CD68 ugh!!! STILL waiting to O

Appointments: None

Symptoms if they apply: Sharp pangs last night by my left ovary, EWCM, cervix almost out of reach and very soft and open

Testing: I used my last OPK last night and it was positive! I don't plan on buying more but I am anxiously waiting for my temp to increase to confirm O!!! I did a dollar store HPT this morning to confirm that I am not going crazy and am indeed still waiting to O. BFN. For the first time ever I was happy with this result and not devastated. Though if it had been positive I would have been very surprised and happy!

Thoughts: Back to BDing for us! I wish my body would just release this egg already!!!

Name: Claire
Date: 4.11.11
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3309e3Where are you in your cycle: CD 4. Stupid AF.
Appointments: None. Need to make one to meet our possible home birth midwife though.
Symptoms if they apply: Stupid AF.
Testing: None
Thoughts: I really wish my BBT would go down already. I had a small decrease when AF started, but no where near below cover line. Making me paranoid because the story I read in TCOYF about a woman who had AF, but turned out pregnant. Getting my hopes up when I know that it's really rare. :-/

I just watched Pregnant in America. If you haven't seen it, you should watch it. It gives a lot of good information about our medical system and childbirth.

What do you guys think is going on here?  http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1c9ff1  ?   I am on CD 15, all physical signs point to getting close to O, but I can't confirm the temps yet, and my OPKs have all been negative.  The thing that frustrates me the most is that I'm using THREE different types of OPKS:  Wondfo (cheapies), Clearblue easy line-style OPK, and Clearblue Easy Digitals.  The Wondfo & CBE line ones barely even show a control.  The Digital just shows an obvious negative.  Do you think I'm not holding my pee long enough or doing it wrong?  I have a really hard time not peeing every hour or two LOL.  Ever since giving birth to DD my bladder is just not the same.  HELP!

belacmsage--I just checked out a trailer for Pregnant in America.. wow!!! I am definitely going to download it and watch is ASAP!!! Just some of the facts I learned in the trailer, I would have had NO idea about!! Thanks so much for sharing :)

I loved Pregnant in America and agree you should all check it out! I cried. Home birth was definitely the best decision for my family.

Bfillingham - If you haven't seen the Business of Being Born that is another good one.

Where are you in your cycle: CD2 (AF showed up 6DPO. :( )
Appointments: Still waiting for insurance cards...
Symptoms if they apply: I was really sick with nausea all last week  which made me really think this was it. I guess it was just a bug. :(
Testing: AF showed up just after I used an HPT. Just like last cycle.
Thoughts: I really thought I'd be a one monther... Oh well. This was my shortest cycle in two and a half years (since I've started keeping track). But I guess it's better than having another crazy 90 day cycle. That would drive me crazy.

Cait

Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/caitylady
Where are you in your cycle: CD3  Borrrring
Appointments: Pilates 4.11, Acupuncture 4.13, DH Birthday 4.13, Haircut 4.16 --- These are the fun things you do pre-O... stay busy!
Symptoms if they apply: Well, I'm bleeding 2whistle.gif Other than that, none!
Testing: I mean it for real this time, not until AF arrives, or if at any point past 10dpo I wake up vomiting... seriously.
Thoughts: I'm trying to stay more relaxed this cycle. I'm not temping right now, I probably will once I get a + OPK until O is confirmed, but I just can't deal with this stress. I'm also trying to journal, to release more stress. It helps that it is GORGEOUS in the great state of Massachusetts right now, so there are lots of outdoor things to be done. Helps that we are doing some major home projects so I have to re landscape my front yard, and I'm heading away next weekend (Holiday here in Boston- Marathon Monday & the race goes right past my work so we are CLOSED!), going to have a wonderful girls weekend with my mom, sister and niece. I actually feel happy during AF, not that I wouldn't be 10 times happier without it for 9 months, but I sleep like an angel, it is so wonderful.

Where do I get those 2 movies?

cbaa2010: I found both on netflix.

You are so positive! Love it! So cool that the marathon goes right by your work! I am a runner and I'm jealous! I am going to take your lead and try to plan some fun relaxing things to keep mind busy love.gif Both Pregnant in America and The Business of Being Born are on demand on Netflix right now. Other than that I believe they are also available for download or purchase online. Hope you find them!

I LOVED Pregnant in America!! (Just got done watching it, lol) I cried as well!!! Hehe, I will def check the other one out too.

cbaa--if you go to www.icefilms.info there will be a search section at the very top, right. Type in Pregnant in America. It should be the first movie that shows up on the left top. (2008) Click on that. It will then bring you to a new page. You then click "Source #1" which is right under "DVD Rip/Standard Def." Then click Proceed to: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6FUUBBTE which is right underneath the two blue boxes that say 1 and 2. This is will open in a new page. Over on the left it will say "please wait" and start counting down from 40 seconds or so. Then press "Regular Download." It should give you the option to either "open with" or "save file." Choose to save the file. Then if it gives you the option to save the file to a certain area, I would save it to your desktop. Otherwise once it is downloaded it will probably be in "my computer" and then "downloads."  I know it kind of seems like a pain in the butt, but it shouldnt take too long to download really and it is a great copy!!!

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6FUUBBTE&w=631&h=392    You can try to copy and paste that website and it should bring you right to the page that starts counting down from 40. and then you can just click "regular download" Hopefully that works and you dont have to go through all the steps! But it's a wonderful film!!!

Where are you in your cycle: CD 12
Appointments: Sonogram and bloodwork results on Friday with my GYN
Symptoms if they apply: nada
Testing: Starting OPKs in the next few days
Thoughts: My MACA Root, Femaprin  and 40 OPKs/10 HPTs should arrive tomorrow. I'll start the pills on Wednesday and possibly start the OPKs on Friday.

*sigh*  CD 15, I have had EWCM & HSO cervix for 2 days now, and a temp drop this morning.  But my OPKs have been consistently negative for the last few days, and I've used multiple kinds of OPKs, including CBE digital.  I thought maybe I was diluting my urine too much by drinking a lot of water, but I held my pee/didn't drink for like 4 hours today and it was still negative.  *headdesk*  Any suggestions?  My chart is in my siggy.  All three OPKs below were taken with the same urine around 6:45pm tonight.

Jessica: looks like you are still gearing up to ovulate to me.... I would keep bding and you will probably see a positive OPK here in the next couple of day... just my thought.

Where are you in your cycle: 6 DPO

Appointments: Not until I get some results.

Symptoms if they apply: Not really.

Thoughts: DH went in to get tested today and I had a blood draw for a hormone workup.... so we have the ball rolling to see if there is anything they can find.

OJazzy: I hope you get some answers from the doc soon. grouphug.gif

filiadeluna: I used non-digital OPKs this month and was really confused by the results too. I am pretty sure none of them were true positives but on the 6th I had one that was a bit darker than the other ones so I called that positive after the fact. FertilityFriend showed my O date as the 7th based on temps so the OPKs seemed to match up. If I ever use OPKs again I will spend extra to get the digital ones and be sure.

So I have question for all of you. I am 5dpo and my temp went way down this morning. Do you think it could be an implantation dip? My lp is shorter (around 11 days) so I am thinking about testing on Sunday (10dpo). What do you guys think?

Thanks, Ladies!  Yeah I am now a HUGE fan of the digitals:

Looks like the OPK cheapie strips I bought really WERE duds - check out what happened last night with the SAME urine, CD 15:

2011-04-11 OPK Positive.jpg

Tested again this morning (second morning urine) with just the CBE Digital, and it is negative now... should I bother testing again tonight?  I'm guessing the surge passed.  Can you guys take a look at my chart and let me know what you think?  Maybe I haven't O'd yet, but the surge is gone...  Is that possible?
