Monday Check-In
Name: SithLadyFred
Date: 4/4/11
Chart: It's on femilia and I dunno how to post a link!
Where are you in your cycle: I'm reasonably sure I'm at CD 20 and 7 DPO
Appointments: None related to TTC but due to my partner's urging I'm going to see an endocrinologist to have my pituitary gland checked up
Symptoms if they apply: Dark nipples, some cramping.
Testing: AF is supposed to show up on next Monday. I think I may test on Sunday, or try to wait until Monday and see if it just arrives so I don't use up a stick. I think it's just going to be easier for me to wait it out than POAS every day!
Thoughts: Mr. Sith said he thinks we did it this cycle.. he said he just has a "feeling". He seems excited/hopeful, so now I am too!

Bela, lots of baby dust for you! I too had a wonky cycle this month, so frustrating, ahh!

tantylynn- :( Sorry about the crazy temps, I definitely think temping can be super stressful. Hope your pre appt goes well!

Fnord - wooo! Good luck and lots o baby dust!

Monday Check-In
Name: Fnord
Date: 4/4/11
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2fa1ea (it took me a ridiculously long time to find that link, even though i've posted it before) Not much to see, I stopped temping last cycle and my cycles are whiggity whack anyway.
Where are you in your cycle: Today is CD24 and according to FF I'm supposed to O today.
Appointments: None. Waiting to receive health insurance cards in the mail because I'm still under the age limit to be on my parents plan. But I'm not sure if they'll actually come.
Symptoms if they apply: I've had really sore nipples this whole cycle. (Maybe it's from the chemical pregnancy last cycle?) And today I felt what felt exactly like menstrual cramps for about a minute.
Testing: I've been doing OPK's everyday but I'm a little daunted by them. They seem confusing and I feel almost certain I'll miss the LH surge. I got the same 40 OPK and 10 PT pack as tantylynn and fairyme. shy.gif that's on top of a pack of 12 PT's from eBay and two ClearBlue's which I bought for after I get a pos on the cheapies and have stared at them cross-eyed for hours. i'm planning on testing this Friday just in case I really did O on CD14 when I had EWCM and then again two weeks from today.

Name: Dayle
Date: April 4/11
Chart: My Ovulation Chart Where are you in your cycle: 6dpo
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: felt a little nauseated this morning...had a little bit of what felt like menstrual cramps last night (only lasted a few mins) and (tmi) tons of creamy cm.
Testing: I used opks until I got 2 negatives in a row (after 3 positives) I'll prob poas at 11 dpo...I know I won't wait longer than that
Thoughts: other than the little freak out when I took that advil (not knowing I shouldn't) I've been feeling pretty good. Thanks for putting my mind at ease OJazzy!

Name: Jessica
Date: April 4/11
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1c9ff1  Where are you in your cycle: CD 8
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: n/a
Testing:  going to start using OPKs tomorrow for shits & giggles - I typically have long cycles, but got a great deal on OPKs so I'm going to have lots of fun POAS this month!
Thoughts: Hoping my temps will not be all wonked out after today & that the Maca I am taking will give me an O date closer to CD 14 or so instead of 20+ that I have sometimes.

After much reading and research I ordered some Maca Root and Femaprin this weekend. I should get them between Thursday and Tuesday so i'll start them both mid-cycle around CD 8 or 13. I just don't want a repeat of last year where I had a cycle in April then none till end of July. My dream is to one day have 28-30 day cycle where I ovulate each cycle and not on CD 27 or 30. Hopefully I get some results from these 2.

Monday Check-In

Name: SilaMarila 25, TTC #2
Date:4/4/11
Chart: I chart on paper following the rules in the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility but when - IF I start another cycle I will consider using FF
Where are you in your cycle: CD61 waiting to O
Appointments: none
Symptoms if they apply: some "twinges", last night cervix was SO open and as of this morning out reach! feeling positively energized!
Testing: Praying for a positive OPK today!!! Only 1, maybe 2 chances left to BD before DH starts his (night shift) work week
Thoughts: Since DS was born (11/09) I've O'd a grand total of twice...This cycle has been very confusing. I thought for sure I had O'd around CD25 (normal for me and my LONG cycles ugh) and had 4 days of what I thought was O spotting (still not sure what that was). I did have a temp increase but DS has an ear infection at that time and we were not sleeping well so I think my temps were way off. We had company and I wasn't doing OPK's faithfully either. After 3 BFN's and my temps going down I decided I didn't O at all. I feel like my body has tried to O at least 3 times but for reason isn't!! Every time my CM starts changing I start OPKs until it dries up again. I have increased my Evening Primrose oil to 3000mg/ day and also use Maca as a superfood every day. I'm really trying to let my body do this on it's own but if I'm not Oing by May I want to start Vitex.

I temped for months but I couldn't take the not being able to figure a temp out or if I should keep it or change it or wondering if I had slept enough... that and my house is ALWAYS changing temps and it really messes with things.... glad I did it for a while so that I got a firm grip on my body and what it was doing and when I ovulate...  how long my LP is... I think every woman should temp for a few months.

Monday Check-In
Name: Cait
Date: 4.4.11
Chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/caitylady
Where are you in your cycle: CD25, 8DPO
Appointments: Acupuncture Wednesday
Symptoms if they apply: Sharp pain last night around my uterus, turned to dull ache after about 5 minutes, then I fell asleep, today I feel like I have to pee all the time (usually I can hold it easily 6 hours), then I had some red spotting tonight.
Testing: I wanted to hold out until Saturday 13 DPO- the day AF is due, but I'm thinking maybe Wednesday 10DPO, depends if anything changes tomorrow.
Thoughts: I hate faux pregnancy symptoms, seriously, I don't even want my brain to consider that this could be it, because I will be so crushed if AF shows up Saturday. Maybe I'm getting a bladder infection, maybe this is AF spotting, maybe AF is coming early because of my cold the past week and thats why I feel so crampy... Maybe I just had a gas pain last night.... Maybe I need to wake up and have it be Friday so I have some more answers... sigh...

Welcome SilaMarila! I hope you get that positive OPK!

FairyMe & filiadeluna I've ordered Maca too! Hope it works for all of us!

cbaa hug.gif I can't tell you how many times I've wished I could just have a 'fast-forward' button for this whole process. 8DPO, you're almost there!

AFM, DH and I went to the pre-appointment with the nurse at the fertility clinic. She just went over the questionnaire I filled out, gave me some information and sent me on my way pretty much. I was cringing the whole time because she kept saying "you are so young, I am sure it is just going to happen", and was on the verge of telling me she didn't think I needed to see the specialist when I piped up and said I already have an appointment in May. Then she tried telling me that she doesn't think that charting is very effective, is too draining and may not be a good idea. I told her since I'm still trying to figure out if I O, I find it useful. Then she tried to explain how the temperatures work and what I should be looking for and she was wrong wrong wrong! I'm just glad I did my own research and I'm really glad she's just the nurse. I'm fairly certain the specialist will know what she's doing as she's very highly qualified and recommended. Now the long wait till May 17th...

hi ladies! here's my story :)

CD #20, 7-8 dpo .... this 2ww suckssss!!

TTC #1 and 1st month trying ... i've wanted a baby for so long and finallllyyyy got dh on board!

i'm 22 (23 in 3 months) and dh is 23.

so while i'm posting, has anyone heard of hot flashes with implantation?? i've never ever experienced a hot flash like that before, but it was 2 nights ago (so 5-6dpo).....i'm probably imagining things, but a girl can hope right?! whistling.gif

Belacmsage - thanks! :)

Fairyme & Tantalynn - yay for Maca!  We should start a new Maca thread!

@Tantalynn - you know what's weird?  When I was TTC #1, I set up an appointment for some fertility blood work after I had been trying for 8 months.  Two weeks after the results came back as "normal" - I got pregnant (in cycle 9)!  Ha!  So I think that having less stress by knowing that there wasn't anything *inherently* wrong with me, really helped me to relax and get pregnant.  Things are a bit more complicated this time, though, since I'm breastfeeding.

Babyfever23 - I do get warmer around ovulation, but that is normal for your body temperature to rise afterward.  If you are pregnant it will continue to rise, and if not, it will drop right before AF starts...so who knows? :)

babyyfever It's great to be able to hear more about you! I'm 22 as well, 23 next month! I'm so excited for you and hope you get your BFP soon!

filiadeluna I'm up for a Maca thread! haha. That is AWESOME that you got PG just when you decided to get help. My blood tests didn't come back normal unfortunately (diagnosed with PCOS), but I'm still holding out hope that "it" can happen before my specialist appt in May praying.gif.

Monday Tuesday Check-In
Name: Heather/Maevankayt
Date: April 5, 2011
Chart:
http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/maevankat
Where are you in your cycle: Not sure, honestly. I think I've already ovulated, due to mucus and such, but my temps aren't matching up. They took a dive yesterday, and then shot back up this morning, so I may be DPO 1? Ugh. Charting and I are not friends.CD27. (Normally I ovulate around CD21)
Appointments: None yet.
Symptoms if they apply: I may just be sick, as I've been sick off and on for about a month now. I'm dizzy, nauseous, and my moods are all over the place. I had some sharp pain about a week ago, followed by some spotting, which is why I think I ovulated then.
Testing: Soon, but not yet. AF is due in about 5 days.
Thoughts: Not getting my hopes up, but this is the first month that we've REALLY tried. Any time I thought I saw the right fertile mucus, we were all over it. Fingers and toes crossed.

Thanks Gemmine! He is a cutie... haha.

Tantylynn way to go for not letting that NP dissuade you. The same happened to me last summer. My MD had suggested I request an ultrasound to see if there were any abnormalities which could be contributing to my wacky cycles. I called and the NP told me I was too young for that and I didnt need it and my MD didnt know what he was talking about and silly me listened and didn't get it done.

I'm all for a Maca thread. I can't wait to receive mine in the mail.

AFM: I saw a new GYN today and she was super nice. She did a pelvic exam and said apart from a little fullness on the left she didn't feel anything else. I'm scheduled for bloodwork to check my hormone levels on Thursday and a sonogram next Friday. I hope everything comes back normal and the Maca and Femaprin help to regulate my cycles.
