Tuesday Check-In
Name: marykgrove
Date: April 5, 2011
Chart: On my phone with OvuView.  I LOVE this app check it out!

Where are you in your cycle: 6 dpo, hopefully no AF in 6 days, instead a BFP! We'll see...
Appointments: Went to see my naturopath 2 wks ago. She said everything I was already was doing was great and I just needed a little kidney support. I also got DH to go and he started taking methylated folic acid zinc and a multi-vitamin; miracle of miracles.
Symptoms if they apply: Some breast tenderness and emotional; I think I've teared up at every sweet song or commercial in the past 4 days.
Testing: Tested for ovulation and got LH surge, also charted and OvuView confirmed my O day
Thoughts: This month we did everything perfect, so I'm hopeful! DH keeps thinking I will "know" as soon as I'm pregnant. I'm not too sure. If that is the case, then I'm probably not, but I'm trying to stay positive and R-E-L-A-X-E-D.

@TantyLynn I'm so proud of you that you trust yourself enough to know what's right for you!

Tuesday Check-In
Name: Brittany
Date: April 5, 2011

Chart: OvuView-An app on my phone, I am obsessed with it!
Where are you in your cycle: 6-7 DPO, period due in a week, I don't want to see a BFN :(
Appointments: Had an MRI about a year ago from constant cramping pains.. came back completely fine, no problems since :)
Symptoms if they apply: NONE :( So depressing.
Testing: HPT this morning.. which I know is FAR FAR too early.. but it kept calling my name, I swear!! Couldn't help it.. I guess wishful thinking that I O'ed way earlier than I expected. BFN of course. Only a $ Store brand, so only a waste of a dollar :)
Thoughts: Hoping and praying for a BFP in a week!!

Loving this Thread!!!!

marykgrove --So glad someone else uses OvuView!!! My fiance would laugh at how long I could literally sit on my phone charting!! LOL.

Aw thanks marykgrove and fairyme! I am generally a pretty shy person but occasionally I surprise myself (and my family haha) with my assertiveness.

Well, I think I'm possibly 6DPO now. I feel like AF is coming, but I'm hoping I'm wrong. Good luck to everyone else! Let this be our month!!!

i'm really confused with OPKs. i had been getting a darker line up until CD23 and then on CD24, when FF said I O'ed and I felt all crampy and pinchy, i got a total negative. the most negative OPK ever. and then again yesterday, CD25. what does that mean? is that what happens after you O? i never actually got a positive. also, my sore nipples which i've had for this entire cycle are no longer sore. it's so frustrating not knowing what's going on. irked.gif

tantylynn, filladeluna and fairyme: What's maca root? I googled it and all I found was something about it regulating hormones. Does it help with totally crazy cycles? More info please!

Fingers crossed for you Maevankayt!

marykgrove i looked up that app and it's only for android. bawling.gif i had gotten all excited. i use PinkPad on my iphone and i really don't like it that much. the forums are completely insane. (but it's better than the 5 other charting apps i downloaded when i first got my phone).

Fnord: It makes sense if you got a negative on the day FF says you O'd. The OPK detects the hormone released before ovulation. If you got some BDs in when the line was dark, you should be covered.

Stalking the rest of you!

i just did a whole bunch of reading about OPK's and i think what i thought was an almost positive was actually a positive on CD23 which means FF was exactly right.

no BDing on CD24 because my SO was just too tired after working a double shift but we did on CD23 and CD25 so fingers crossed!

Fnord- Not sure if this helps, but I am the queen of googling (I guess not always a good thing lol) But I have read on a lot of different sites, that you can easily miss a + OPK because the surge can come and go so quickly. You could test in the morning, get a somewhat dark negative, then get the surge later that day that would show a very obvious positive, then by the time you test again it would be gone. Not sure if this is correct so any one feel free to correct me if thats the case, it is just something I seem to read a lot!

Welcome.gif Bfillingham! I didn't realize you hadn't posted before. Could you tell us a bit more about yourself and I will add you to the list?

Also, I think it is time to purge the list of people who haven't posted since before January. What do you guys think?

Fnord: I was sure I didn't have a +opk either...but after looking at some examples of positives online, and asking the kind ladies here, I figured out that I DID have a positive after all :) I'm new to using opk's, and wasn't sure what to look for with the frer tests. :)

Anyone want to put their 2 cents in with regards to my chart? What the heck is going on with all these flat temps?! I KNOW my thermometer is working, I tested it at different times....very odd. What do you helpful ladies think?

Updated to here!

I went through the last couple of months and got rid of people who hadn't posted since January and added people who had not been added accidentally. If any of you want your chart added to the front or want a baby boy or girl added let me know please. Also, if your age is wrong or not posted please let me know that too!

belacmsage- Thank you for the welcome! I did a "Tuesday Check In" a few posts up, so that says a bit about where I am at and about myself. I am in the dreaded 2WW at the moment.. but a little confused how many DPO I may be.. I don't really know when I ovulated, but I am thinking it was between the 26-1st ish.. kinda long range! This is only my first month TTC, so I am pretty new to all of this! ( I had a chemical pg about 8 months ago when our protection failed, so since then I have been obsessed with learning as much as I possibly can!) I am in love with this website!!!

I think your chart looks like it may be a BFP, since it's staying at a high temp with just the one little dip.. most pregnant charts I've seen have more dips than that but stay consistently high temp! Keep temping and definitely test in a few days!

Oh SithLadyFred!!!!! Seriously, that made my heart SOAR reading that :) It's always great to hear positive feedback. My first month "kinda sorta" ttc was December, and it ended in a chemical pregnancy...which was VERY schocking to me. I totally convinced myself that something must be wrong....so to hear that makes me feel really great! I have a tendency to turn every little tiny thing that I find odd in my charts into "DOOM and GLOOM!" redface.gif

Just an update smile.gif

fnord - I was/am having the same confusion over my OPK's. But, after reading what everyone posted and doing some googling myself I think I did get a + Monday night. They had been getting darker leading up to Monday night and then on Monday night's the line was same color as the control line except only half of the test line showed up confused.gif .

But I did two on Tuesday and one today - all clearly negative. This is my first cycle using them and I'm not sure I will use them again (hopefully BFP and I won't have to!). I'm waiting for a temp increase to confirm my ovulation (no major difference today). I had a tiny bit of spotting Tuesday morning (BD Monday night) and just the slightest pinkish brown in my CM today. Based on this, my CM, and the position of my cervix, some cramping (or was that my bladder crying out for help from holding my pee for the OPK's) I'm really hoping I did it this time!

Sila-I think you probably O'd. Fingers crossed!

Seriously your chart looks AWESOME.. I definitely have the same tendency to over read stuff and get gloomy but I think you have plenty of reason to be optimistic! hug2.gif
