what else can we put in the sensory table?

We have tried water, shaving cream, beans, rice, feed corn, sand, pebbles. Anything I'm missing?

do you have a separate nature table?  you can cross elements if not-- pinecones, sweetgum balls, seashells, moss, etc.

eta: and our little one has a strong focus on cups, receptacles, boxes.. you can try varying sizes, they make different sounds when filled and different metals or surfaces to pour onto (metal cups for the corn, pouring it onto wood or sandpaper, etc)  little shakers to fill...

Playdough, something rubbery?, flour, something silky?, something furry?

Maybe I called it the wrong thing. It's a water table with a drain, I just like to mix it up sometimes.

This might be a nightmare to clean on such a large scale, but cornstarch and water is fun to play with.

i would sometimes turn the sensory table in my class into a ripping table with different colored papers. you could also do scissors if they are at that stage (although "cutting pool" in a little plastic pool is way more fun)

How about adding some bubbles to the water? That would be fun. DD loves to play with the bubbles in the bath.

Goop!!

I think the corn starch and water.   It's really messy but when I make it for the kids..they love it!!

What about Playdoh like PP said, maybe some sticks, leaves, rocks?

Water with some soap would make bubbles and my kids love that!!!
