I feel like a big dingo slacker lately. Not for my usual reason of not running, but because I don't get my act together to post!
Geo - I'm dying to know what school it is you and kerc want to send your children to? We are making a list of schools to visit this summer/fall for dd.
kerc - wow you are having a week! (and a half-ish?) Glad you at least got a little dingo meet up in there.
Lax4 - you crack me up. and I'm sure tomorrow will be better!
tjsmama - Whoa. I missed that there was a wedding planned already. Is he still moving out of state, I assume? The 150 mile ride sounds like fun (actually, to me, with my current bike, it sounds torturous :-P)
bec - dumb repair guy. That sort of stuff irritates the snot out of me. Wish I was coming to Indy with you this year. I'll be on call, instead, blech.
Runningmommy - hope you are settling in to your new house. Having done both, I think an in-town move is almost harder than moving farther away - it just seems to drag on so much farther. I hope you get your exercise space how you'd like it!
BBM - you around? I'm thinking I might not be able to do Columbus this year. I just got the summer/fall schedule for marching band (my middle kids will both be in high school band next year) and there is a big band competition on the sat of the Columbus races (which are sunday.) I really don't want to miss any of the few competitions of Catherine's senior year. Even if I flew to Columbus, I'd be arriving late Saturday, which is not ideal for running on Sunday. Kansas City Marathon is the same day, and would be a possibility still for me - but I've heard it's pretty hilly, so I don't know what to do yet.
RR - I've been running. And I don't know if the iron I'm taking is starting to work or what, but a quicker pace has felt easier lately. Thinking about doing a 12K with a friend on May 7 (which is the same day dh will be at U of I with Justin at the state science fair, and Catherine has prom!)
NRR - we are still doing some minor negotiating on our new house, but it looks like it is definitely ours. It's really pretty - has a lovely open floor plan with a huge kitchen that I can't wait to get into, and a master bathroom that I could probably comfortably live in! We had a lovely Easter weekend. My oldest ds was here with my almost-DIL, and we had a lot of family time and lovely food. I might not need to eat again for a week. I'm almost done with Catherine's prom dress, and have started my little dd's flower girl dress. Just need to get going on my mother-of-the-groom dress! I might have to miss some runs to finish some of this sewing. We've had no success selling our house. Sigh. Maybe if it ever quits raining more folks will be out looking?
