Thank you for your offer! I actually have two boppies and 4 covers. I need another waterproof cover for one them. Last time I had a puker and it was always soaking through to the pillow.

Smokering--- How I envy your sewing skills and motivation! I have turned into the mom that just buys everything bc she can't see herself sitting down to make it
Tracy-- Hooray for mama cloth! I haven't been brave enough to try it yet, but I was thinking about it for this postpardom time. Its funny how I will use cloth everything- diapers, towels, wipes, etc... but can't make myself use a cloth pad!
Feeling motivated this weekend! --- Hoping to get some more done around the house with DH's help!

Things to do:
- pack the hospital bag (I have an ongoing list of things I want to bring to help me have a natural birth as much as possible)

- listen to Hypnobabies all the way through - I always fall asleep and then shut it off before it's finished :P
- clear out craft supplies/piano from what will be the babyroom where her things are stored
- paint/knit/crochet decorations since we can't renovate
- in may: cook and freeze some vegan meals for after the birth, so that I can easily feed myself w/o worrying

- create chores schedule for myself to stay on top of housework
- finish prenatal class (ends April 19th)
- blog 3 times weekly throughout
Things to knit:
- blanket

Well, getting it down on screen makes me feel a lot better. Whew. I can do this, I can do this!
Bought a whole bunch of baby stuff!! All the smaller essentials (diapers, wipes, sling, wetbags, changing pad, clothes, receiving blankets etc) have been purchased online and are going to get here by the end of next week. Now we just need the crib, change table, carseat and stroller, possibly a cosleeper ^_^ Feels good to really get down to business, getting the things we need.

P.S. I have a pair of never worn longies that someone may have--they are girl colors. We never used them for DD

Smokering, post a pic of the mei tai!
Arrgh... I would, if the *muttered expletive* camera weren't missing in action. For once I have a bunch of pretty homemade things I can show off on my blog, and I can't take photos of 'em! I'll let you know if I find it...
Of course, it looks a bit funky worn over a third-trimester baby bump. :p DD wanted to try it on too, and it looked so cute on her - straps trailing behind her like a train, and everything. I think I may have overdone the strap length... they were such a pain to do that I got all bloody-minded about it and made them as long as possible, just to prove I wasn't skimping.
The mei tai was the only sewing I got done today, as I spent some of it making a lime marshmallow pie for a friend's visit this evening (OK, and a few hours sleeping this afternoon!). Tomorrow I'll be spending the afternoon at Mum's (I'm taking the reminder of the pie to get rid of it - DH and Flatmate can't eat it, and I don't want to nibble away at it for the next week!), so I'll take some knitting. It's great at Mum's - DD gets taken care of by the aunts and I can sit in style and do crafts. :p I might start on that baby aviator hat, if I can find the right wools...

I was resistant at first, too. Last time I was in the depths of 3rd trimester insomnia and insanity, I decided that I would use up all my old flannel and terrycloth and make my own pads while I was awake all night long. They were great for a first time run and I will use them this time as well. For the first few days after the baby is born and the bleeding is really heavy, I decided to do something different - I made thick pads and actually sewed them into a dozen pairs of underwear so that it would be easier to just change underpants and have a little more coverage. They seem comfortable and I hope they work out well!!
My aunt came over when I was making them and said, "Wow, Tracy, you really are a hippie!" I guess it is one of those strange ideas that not too many people embrace (at least not that I know). It takes some getting used to, thats for sure!!!
I got some patterns cut today and finished smocking about 2 yards of bodice for a couple of dresses. I will post some pics when they are done!
ETA: LIME MARSHMALLOW PIE???!! Are you kidding me? That sounds like heaven. Please share the recipe!

Yall make me feel so uncrafty! I used to be the craftiest girl around... now I'm like ehhhh
....
Tracy-- Did you find that they were absorbent enough? I am worried about leaks. I was a heavy bleeder for at least 3 weeks. Like changing the overnight/heavy pads every 2 hours. At night I would wake up, feed DD, change my pad, go to sleep. I just can't imagine a cloth pad with no plastic lining able to hold all that in!
Do you just throw them in the wash by themselves? I can see DH now, "hunny what is the bag full of bloody fabric???" <--- haha
I'm not even a pad girl for regular periods! --- I use tampons 24/7
-- so bad, I know!

Oh my gosh, MaryElizabeth! I could really use some swaddling blankets, I can't get them here and was going to order them online. PM me?

Baby-related:
Sew:
Onesies (2)
Sleep gowns (2 or 3)
Casual dresses (3)
Dress for "sip 'n' see" party w/ hat
Woven wrap (I know this hardly counts, but I still have to buy the fabric and sew the trim)
Sun hats (2 or 3)
Knit:
Blanket
name hat
kina sweater & matching booties
butterfly sweater
Buy:
Pack of newborn diapers & wipes (for traveling)
Sun shades for car windows
Me-related:
Sew:
Elastic-waist maternity/pp skirt (I tried winging a pattern and it was awful, so I'm giving up on maternity clothes for now)
Shower dress (bought as retail therapy after giant spider incident)
Dress for "sip 'n' see" party (this might go to the "buy" category, as I have no idea what size I'll be)
Knit:
calla tank
Buy:
witch hazel pads
perineum irrigation bottle
lanolin
belly band/Spanx for pp
bras that fit once my size settles down
Moving-related:
Pack up books & other non-essentials
Donate/sell shelves, tables, other beat up furniture
Sort/donate old clothes/shoes
Sell used books
Post-partum prep:
Freezer meals! I'd like at least 5 or 6 dishes, which (including leftovers) would give us at least 2 weeks' worth of food.
Organize/wash baby supplies so I'm not scrabbling through cupboards when we bring LO home
Pick out birth announcements
It's not good when the list is getting longer, not shorter. :)

Oy! So this weekend we got a few little projects done. We landscaped a little, got the sink in the 1.2 bath installed, tie dyed some flats for burp cloths---super cute!!, and I did a little bit of cleaning, but really need to clean again--- this pollen and seed pod explosion is taking over my house! I also listed and sold a few things on CL---but I also bought a couple of non-neccessities
I am going to finish the painting this week! It is a MUST! I need to find energy somewhere bc it's not happening right now....
I also invited my step mom and sister to come visit this week while DH is away... thinking they would say no. Ummmm they may come! Maybe having someone here will give me the motivation to get up and get this done! Although, it's not going to be easy to entertain and paint at the same time.... especially when I have to paint the guest bedroom!
I am SO tired... maybe after a nap I will feel like moving furniture and taping???

I know, right?! I need to update my list, but I haven't crossed anything off and I have some new things to add, so I'm scared to. :p I have been working on projects, I just haven't finished any yet.

Whew!! I got some more painting done... going to try and get more finished up tonight! DD has been a little testy today.... first it was going nuts in the post office, pitching a serious fit after her nap--- she woke up early and HATES that... had a complete meltdown bc I tried to change her diaper (what? is she 3 months old again?) and then wouldn't let me blow off the deck so she could play on her playset.... I tried to paint with her in the room--- not so much. Tried to turn on a video--- that worked for about half an hour as long as she could throw cheerios around. Dinner time she was into everything, wouldn't eat, and is now trying to send me over the edge by doing everything she isn't suppose to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 2 hours until bedtime.... will I make it?????
--- poor child.

Anyone working on anything specific this week?? still chipping away at the list over here!
Since 2AM is a great time to make plans... this week I will:
1) knit at least 6 more inches on LO's blanket
2) cut out and sew 2 baby dresses
3) find a pattern for a smocked-waist skirt and buy the fabric
4) take a load of stuff to Goodwill
I want to add more because I feel like that's not enough, but I know that if I make my list too long I'll just feel bad for not finishing it. So, there is my little list for this week. :) Now if I can only get back to sleep so I'm not too tired to do any of it!
