I have a thousand ounces of breastmilk in my IL's deep freeze (100 bags of 10 ounces each). When our LO was about three months, I started pumping and storing milk there. I have always been very fortunate to have a good supply of milk and have never needed to use it. I know there are places you can donate, but is milk that is nine months old (even if stored properly) acceptable for donation? If DS was great at drinking out of a cup, I guess I could give some to him that way, but he barely takes a sip out of a cup (though I know he will in time--he is only 1 year old and still mostly nurses for his nutrition). The amount I need to cook with for him can easily just be expressed, so I am not going to need it for that. I surely won't throw it away, but it seems kind of dumb to just let it sit there. Plus MIL has reminded me a few times about it and I guess she wants some of the space back. Any ideas? TIA.
