Anyone ever raised "bottle baby" goats?

We're adopting 2 nigerina dwarf does that are a week old. Have bottles and Pritchard nipples...Thinnking of doing a recipe of whole cow's milk, half and half, buttermilk, and a little karo syrup instead of kid milk replacer (read it at the farmer's website). We're goat newbies, so if anyone has sage advice they wish they'd known the first time around, we'd love to hear it--thank you!!!

Hello, congrats. Do you have any access to goat milk to put in a bottle? From another farm? Baby goats, like calves, can 'scour'. Ways to decrease that risk are feeding other goat milk, or even sheep milk, like PP said. I have no experience with that recipe you describe. I hope it works. Make sure the goats feed with their heads tipped up, like nursing from mom, to reduce the scour risk. If you notice their poop becoming runny, contact a vet! Also, animal probiotics are available, and may be beneficial in light of artificial feeding.
